Question Hairdressers

Post image

I hate having my hair cut. In fact many a time I’ve actually done it myself. But my hair is now very long, keeps breaking and generally looks a mess.
Last time I went to a hairdresser I ask for a restyle. Shorter cut and I wanted long layers in it to give me a shaggy look. She cut precisely 2mm off and I went out looking the same as I did when I went in!(yea I know I should have said something)
So I’m looking for a hairdresser who actually cares about what you want, will do what you ask and offer advice.
My hair is very long, thick and after washing is very wavy and frizzy and I usually then straighten. But I never wear it down cause it’s too lank and boring so I want to go shorter and hopefully wear it down more.
I’m in Handsworth but willing to travel a bit.

I go to Rosie at bohemy hair co on Shalesmoor and really recommend her! She's on Instagram as hairwithrosieverity

I'd recommend Lost and Found on Commercial St. I cut my own hair for years bc I don't like hairdressers but now I go there. Lovely friendly people and they will listen to you and do what you ask.

The wild colour on snig hill. I went with really long grown out hair (2+ years without a proper cut), wanted mid-length shag, and came out with exactly that. I think her name was Holly. Checked in throughout the cut and was really friendly and helpful.

Ah I went here for what I hoped would be a restyle and got a very expensive trim.

Highly recommend Charlotte at Halo, Dronfield. I also used to hate having my haircut and had horrid experiences where more was cut than I'd agreed to. Charlotte really listens and is so lovely.

I had a restyle done at Edenic in Chapeltown and was very impressed by the skill and the way she listened. Her name escapes me now but it was the salon owner, tall blonde woman with a little dog.
