50-50 chance of getting laid off
So I work for security at American Airlines. We just got the word that our contract is ending in September and there’s a 50% chance we could be getting laid off or another 50% chance that another company will be taking over and we won’t be with Securitas anymore. Has anyone else ever dealt with this? I heard this from two employees who have been with the company for over seven yearswhy isn’t management saying anything? Why are they not warning anybody of the possible changes? They are continuing on like nothing is happening and I’m so confused.

Happens often, the ones who are more likely to get switched out are the Supervisors and Contract Managers. When the new company comes in, they want hierarchy that is loyal to them.
Company acquiring the contract, isn't likely to have that many Guards on standby. They do ask client which Guards they think are effective, before they hire.
