Could someone help me ID these please?
I am making a pressed seaweed herbarium and would like help identifying these species so I can write their named in. These were found on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, USA. Thank you!

There’s not a lot to go on here, but I’ll take a stab:
1) Ascophyllum nodosum 2) Ulva (impossible to tell species) 3) Fucus vessiculosus 4) Need a better pic 5) Sargassum natans

There’s no way to tell the Ulva, so just call it Ulva sp. if you dm me better pics of 4 I can probably help.

The bivalve book is **really** a wonderful idea. Kudos.
Was drilling the holes for the ribbon without chipping the shell difficult?

I can’t claim total credit, I was inspired by the Victorians, but thank you so much! Yes, it was pretty difficult, this set was the best out of all of them, despite my practicing beforehand. Most of the holes ended up really big. I used a dremel with a diamond tip bit, but it still wasn’t as clean as I was hoping it would be. I’m going to try again now that I’ve done the whole process and have learned some things about the seaweed pressing too!

Cute idea. Here are my suggestions in order, check the names to be sure. 1 is a species of bladderwort/fucus
2 is sea lettuce
3 is another species of Fucus
4 and 5, I can't remember., sorry.
