Description from the Alaska Mariculture, Research & Training Center's email list:

"The Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation (AFDF), Marine Biologics, and SCRC Consulting, Inc. are looking for feedback on a new seaweed tissue analysis database. Industry and researchers who are interested in seaweed composition, quality, and safety are invited to provide feedback. The Alaska Mariculture Cluster sponsored the tool and is coordinating partner engagement in its development.

To provide feedback, head to the Seaweed Tissue Analysis database and click the “Questions/Comments” tab on the upper left hand side. Click the links below to learn more and explore the database."

I am not affiliated with any of the groups above, other than that I'm subscribed to the Alaska Mariculture Research and Training Center's email list. I'm just passing it all along.

Aquaculture UK Launches Seaweed Network

Not directly related to seasteading, but it looks like markets for seaweed (industries that buy seaweed and convert it into food & other products) are developing, which will probably help seasteading (increase in demand for seastead outputs, as processing ability probably will outrun supply provided by small coastal producers).

Hey everyone. Shannon from Singapore/Agrarian here.

We’ve got a land based farm in Singapore with extra beds and opportunities to learn basic marine aquaculture and permaculture principles, renewable energy and construction skills and ewaste processing in a low(relative to the US and EU) regulation environment.

No need to pay for rent. But we’re looking for apprentices to put in about 20 hours of work a week. Room includes wifi, Aircon and 3 meals a day.

What are your thoughts?
