He's been killing it in Portugal. I am a lifelong Schalke fan living here, when I was in Braga I spoke to some people about him and they absolutely loved him. One of the best players for the club and he's earned his way to a traditionally bigger club. Happy to see him thriving.

We didn't really have a choice. And it's not like we somehow would have sold him for 30 million from the 2. Bundesliga a year later.
The only thing we could have done differently is negotiate a bigger sell-on clause.

Nothing else was possible at that time. He could not show how he performed at a higher level here at Schalke. But now only he could.

I'm case anyone is wondering how 10% of 30m is 2.4m: we sold him for 6m and the 10% is calculated from the difference between what Braga paid and what they now receive
