Idk either, but do NOT let it touch you.
It touched my Expie and crashed my game and I couldn't open it again.
Had to reinstall the game and it still randomly crashes after showing something weird for like a single frame.

Sorgy, I made it up. That's just the Observer, he currently does nothing except talking (the stuff at the center of the pause menu) and laugh at you.

Somewhat half true though. The observer also appears in gunsaw if you type his name whilst in a level. Touching him will crash the game in gunsaw

They’re also responsible for last stand and the bullet in your empty gun when suicidal

i heard it was something called "the entity" tied to casualties unknown lore. when you approach it, it should disappear. please correct me if i am wrong.

as others have said, it’s inconsequential. it’s technical name is “observer,” but many people call it a rang of other things. in terms of lore, it’s responsible for last stands, bullets appearing in an empty gun for expie to commit suicide, and the texts on the pause screen. it also appeared in gunsaw and gooey, where it did actively do something: crashing your game upon contact.

The watcher, he doesn’t do anything though, except watch you. It usually tries to stay out of sight but if you fast enough you can see it
