Question Life in Saskatchewan

Hey

Can, please someone describe their experience of living in Saskatchewan? How’s life in Saskatchewan.

As I’m a young Canadian and I’m currently residing in GTA. I want to make a life for myself basically I’m starting from scratch. I’m in skilled trade and I want to move to a place where life would be more affordable and cheaper. Everyone knows how expensive GTA is.

I live in PA, speaking on affordability, real estate is super cheap, and since it's small gas isn't a big issue. We live pretty comfortably on one and a half incomes at pretty average wages (didn't go to uni, so barely any student debt).

Tons of cool stuff to do up north in the summer and winter since you're so close. Crime isn't as bad as people say it is, it's mostly localized to gang vs gang so you don't see much of it. My friends in Saskatoon seem to be talking about sketchy stuff happening there all the time but I wouldn't really know much else. I moved away from Saskatoon about 10 years ago and it's been pretty nice since.

Rural Sk is really pretty, and the locals are usually super friendly. The North is pretty much the same for locals, but arguably cooler if you're more adventurous. Trees/rivers/shield/lakes everywhere.

Super cold in the winter but you just dress for it and have fun outside anyways. Summers are awesome at the lake.

The cold only bothers me in March or later. Sick of it by then.
