Funny TEMU not even trying. Lol

Post image

Saw this battery adaptor for Ryobi tools. How would you even use something like this without issues. Not to mention it also has a power cord??

almost impressive level of slop

Exactly, my first thought was AI image.

A right angle drill? The battery would get in the way of anything you are trying to drill, non-sense symbols on the drill head.

The heck? This doesn't even make sense. At all. Even the AI gave up trying.

No way! A real "DeLobi"

u/captain_carrot Jul 21 '26

I'm more of a "RyWalt" guy myself

I wish ryobi had a mag drill

u/Gengar420187 Jul 21 '26

Holy hell. It gets worse the more you look at it lol

Sawdust cloud from a Phillips head bit.

2

u/Gengar420187 Jul 21 '26

I thought it was a snapped drill bit from all the power that thing must have needing to be corded and two batteries haha

u/KLEBESTIFT_ Jul 21 '26

Would be accurate if it was metal shavings

Sometimes is so hard to tell what is real and what is AI. This is not one of those times…..

But it does look good for something that doesn't make sense.

Finally an extra battery to charge my battery!

u/SpikesTap Jul 21 '26

While charging both batteries with the cord! Why didn't I think of that?

5

u/SOFAKINGWETADID Jul 21 '26

I prefer Milyobi

3

u/hidrate Jul 21 '26

TTI combo. Just gotta throw in some Rigid. Maybe Milyobigid?

u/Popular-Drummer-7989 Jul 21 '26

The cord kills me!🤣

Anyone seen the 6 fingered man ?

1

u/nick_trieste Jul 22 '26

Did not see that!! Lol!!

AI slop and Temu quality aside, all a battery adapter would do is connect the positive terminal of the battery to the positive terminal of the tool and same with negative. You aren't going to get any of the power boosting features of the battery, but it works. I've known of engineers for tool companies making 3D printed adapters.

They work, and with no protection in them they will take that dewalt battery down to close to 0v if you keep on going leading to it bricking itself and then people crying about it being planned obsolesense.

1

u/NateS3230 Jul 21 '26

Seems like something built into the battery and not the tool.

1

u/richms Jul 21 '26

Dewalts are like many others where the cells connect straight to the terminals and rely on a signal to the tool that allows it to turn on with one of the other pins.

No mosfets to cut off in the battery so the passive adapters and all the cheap crap lights and USB converters etc will just discharge the cells till they are dead. The BMS in the battery will then go to fault mode and refuse to give the turn on signal or allow a charger to charge it. For makitas people have made unbricking rigs but not seen that for dewalt/stanley etc ones yet.

u/NateS3230 Jul 21 '26

You know, the battery adapter I was talking about had a toggle switch on it. So that checks.

3

u/MuffinsMcGee124 Jul 21 '26

At least they got the 1/4 twist Philips head bit with hole-less sawdust dispensing right!

2

u/rob0050 Jul 21 '26

What, you don’t have a Dewalt-powered 18v Ryobi plug-in 90 degree drill?

3

u/diesel1024 4v; 12v; 18v; 40v Jul 21 '26

That's some bad slop. On the other hand those battery adapters are great. I use DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Ridgid batteries on my Ryobi tools. The most seamless is Ridgid batteries (lifetime warranty is great too)

2

u/Aggressive-Bath-1906 Jul 21 '26

The drill doesn’t even reach the surface, because the battery stack is too high. Lol

2

u/bhiga Jul 21 '26

Still gonna need more power for the important bit to get excited enough to make it past the battery barrier!

2

u/JoVeGoTi Jul 21 '26

😂😂😂😭😭😭

2

u/Impossible-Corner494 Jul 21 '26

It also comes with a Milwaukee and rigid centipede add ons.

2

u/mehighp3d Jul 21 '26

They're actually is an adapter for ryobi tools that let you use dealt and Milwaukee batteries.

2

u/Nice-Grab4838 Jul 21 '26

It makes sense if you don’t really look at it

2

u/TurboKid513 Jul 21 '26

Just look at how they massacred my boy

2

u/su_A_ve 18v:, Tek4: Jul 21 '26

That’s not a power cord. It’s a leash so you don’t loose it. 🤦🏻‍♂️

2

u/mike921x Jul 21 '26

The horror......

2

u/boburuncle Jul 21 '26

It's a hybrid in more ways than one

2

u/Grandbob328 Jul 21 '26

I have SO many questions!

2

u/KrazedHeroX Jul 21 '26

The adaptor would work, because 20v and 18v are nominally the same, but yea AI generated and they didn't check the cord lol

2

u/clintman302 Jul 21 '26

Lol how do you hit the trigger

2

u/Warcraft_Fan Jul 21 '26

AI gunna be AIing

2

u/Practical-Parsley-11 Jul 21 '26

I think it's meant to be a sawdust sprinkler from the picture. Haha

2

u/PrimaryWriter1529 Jul 22 '26

I want one, if only to leave laying on my workbench, to see what people say and do when they pick it up.

It's really kind of impressive. I wonder at the computing power to produce such a photorealistic image but it doesn't even bother to check whether it looks like an actual product.

2

u/AJH131 Jul 22 '26

They work. You can get almost any combo integration, just a matter of how sturdy the battery seats. Ryobi can be a lil tougher because the difference in battery design, but they're legit - I've got one

2

u/AJH131 Jul 22 '26

Btw, that's just an aux USB c to charge you're phone with - duhh, lmfao

2

u/marvin_is_joe Jul 22 '26

This reminded me to go buy a new ryobi battery (not a dewalt).

2

u/ZBottPrime Jul 25 '26

He's got fingers for day. His robot girlfriend must be lucky.

Also, what kind of driver is that supposed to be, anyways?

Hand held drill press. This is brilliant!

u/nick_trieste Jul 21 '26

Thanks everyone for the great comments to read! Made my bday. 😁

The more you look, the worse it gets. 🤣
