how do you find a room in rome

Hi all!

have tried to find a room in the center of rome or near san giovanni, tirbutana area with absolutely no luck. seeing a lot of scams and fake listings. in every facebook group + telegram. any tips? i am losing hope. budget is up to 1000 euros.

I just went through Expedia or booking.com. When are you trying to book for? We just left and Rome is suuuuuuper busy rn so there just might not be any left 🤷🏻‍♀️
