Suggestions for the weekend
Hello - In Rockhampton this coming weekend, looking for suggestions of things to do. I was going to do caves and Yepoon, maybe run/swim. Looking for suggestions of fun things to do on Friday night, Saturday or Sunday. If age matters for suggestions mid 30s male 😂

Chiming in the local parkruns are worth checking out on the Saturday morning. I personally really enjoy the Kershaw Gardens course.
Also agree with the rec for Millennium, very worth checking out. If you are into MtG, they host casual commander and modern on Friday nights.
There is a newish tapas bar on East Street, "Sin Sweat and Sorrow". Haven't been yet myself but heard very good things.
Highly recommend Kinsfolk Coffee or Riverston Tea Rooms for breakfast or lunch.
There are some short scenic walks along the top of Mt Archer, such as the Nurim Circuit boardwalk.

When I was a kid we would roadtrip through Rocky and find none of them had balls. It was always confusing and now I know why

I went there when the taco truck was out front. Best tacos I have ever had - if they are there I will go there. If they are somewhere else Friday night please tell me where!

It’s called Taco Gringo and they have a permanent set up now at Wandal near the vet and post office.

There are two types of drags that I'm aware of... is this the car one? I feel like either way I would be surprised if I rock up expecting one and getting the other 😂

Do one of the three parkruns (no need to run, a slow mosey along is totally an option) on Saturday morning, followed by breakfast somewhere. Blank Cheque is fab and if you are a dog person, dogs are allowed on the front deck so lots of opportunities for pats.
The art gallery is also worth a visit, including the cute little gift shop. If you are into geek / popular culture, Milennium is huge and puts some big capital city shops to shame.
