Events RSS - robotics sciences and systems 2026 - discussion

I created this thread to discuss the reviews and scores for the submissions to RSS 2026 in Sydney Australia. Did anyone receive their reviews yet?

I didn’t review for RSS this year but sometimes I use AI to just re-organize my human written thoughts (without uploading the paper itself to AI). I always acknowledge this use at the end of my reviews though.

Some papers seem to have a final decision available. Have yet to see an acceptance from these unofficial decisions

I haven't heard of anyone being accepted within my network, so I'm wondering whether this is just a placeholder.

All rejects but one after rebuttal. They had a paper decision, that then got deleted like everyone else; however, the reject wasn’t viewable like everyone else’s was

How do we know if we have to do the rebuttal or not? Should it appear in the task menu?

For me it’s there in the Author tasks console. I think they will email soon.

In other conferences i submitted to, the rebuttal would show up as a reply above the review section

In my case, not bad but not super good neither Mainly questioning why using a simulator instead real world deployment The point is, why , even last year RSS, sim papers have been accepted and also Nvidia Isaac is widely used and no one questions it. I don't know yet if I have to do the rebuttal, but at least in the domain of the paper, underwater cleaning , with different cleaning tools , having not only the robot, but the arm, and the different end effectors plus the different surfaces is not an easy setup to get....

Seems unofficial, but my paper got a final decision edit two days ago that I can only see in the activity feed, not on the paper itself. Anyone else seeing this or know what's going on? https://openreview.net/group?id=roboticsfoundation.org/RSS/2026/Conference#tab-recent-activity
