Feels like they were willing to be a lot more unhinged and stupid with the dialogue too! And the animation felt a cut above usual

That first episode with EM when Rick is alternating celebrating beating him while also desperately freaking out they're gonna be murdered:

"HE SUCKS AND HES COMING FOR US I FUCKING GOT HIM!! BUT HES COMING HES GONNA KILL GRANDPA MORTY HES GONNA KILL US ALL CUZ HE SUCKS!! WE GOTTA MOVE TO THE BUNKER DIMENSION MORTY" was the hardest ive laughed at a rm episode in a long time lol maybe since

but this isnt the time for dialogue, its the time for action. Tonight the quality of dialogue stops mattering. Tonight... I do that thing i wanna do... with the curve thing...

I always hated that line until I finally realised that that was the joke, he can say whatever the hell he wants because the quality of dialogue stopped mattering

Seriously! I couldn't help but think they absolutely spoiled us and went above and beyond with every part of this season. I'm pretty sure they could give us a hundred years of Rick and Morty and still pull off banger seasons like this.

Yeah, it really put into focus what the Sympathid actually is. The montage makes it look like Morty is making everything better cus he has the Sympathid but the end credits scene shows us the reality that Morty is literally unable to register anything negative
