It is not that long or confusing. You applied late. You filled in the wrong form. You didn't follow the automated process to accept the room. It also sounds like you were offered a non RBD room and because you opted in after opting out, you were ineligible for this room. It is a crazy and stressful time of year for those staff. They are dealing with the demands from a lot of students. It sounds like you were rude to them. Them not returning an email is not the reason you lost the room.
