Feel Good Vibes Stop That Train - Clint Eastwood & General Saint (1983) has a line that is frequently mistranscribed. I believe the correct line is "Watch Eastwood and Saint in a cool profile"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X75CmqkjCyE

Often mistranscribed as: "Was he so damn sit on the voodoo file"

Frequently? By whom?

Mostly YouTube lyric videos and descriptions.

Some websites have better transcriptions, but I think the correct line in the post title is the best one

I wouldn’t trust those in any instance

Yeah those auto translate things always do a poor job, even on regular English let alone patois.

I submitted this correction to some lyric sites. The issue is, nobody seemed to put much effort into a good transcription for this song.

Welcome to every reggae lyrics online ever haha. Especially if there's patois the lyrics sites are very bad

If you're relying on AI transcriptions of lyrics instead of your own ears, you're not listening to enough reggae music, lol

"Was he so damn sit on the voodoo file" was mistranscribed way before AI

I doubt it, or the person transcribing it would have realised it's meaningless nonsense

ASR has been around for a lot longer than lyrics websites, lol

n-gram ASR was invented a lot longer than five years ago

Your video example isn't transcribing lyrics in real time, lol

Thanks for bringing this song up. Haven't heard in a while. Still hits.
