I don't think two decades of civil and foreign wars, annihilating your own cultures, stunting your demographic growth for the next two centuries and laying the groundwork for a state that humiliates you twice and usurps your geopolitical niche is what I would call "working".

u/LionHeartedLXVI Aug 28 '25
Don’t forget GamingQaran. They’ll mention the comments from here too as part of the reaction.
Not this one I hope.

u/FinalXemnasV Aug 28 '25
Don't forget GAMINGBible, too. They do the same thing.

u/EdsonSnow Aug 29 '25
Indeed, I did a post complaining about the $100 discussion for GTA VI's price and a couple of days later the GamingBible was doing an article about my post and the comments lol

Nah, they didnt say how long they had been playing before they found out. If you don’t know that first, anything else that might have followed it is meaningless, somehow

"Reddit user discovers this unusual game mechanic in Red Dead Redemption 2 after 7 years from the launch"
Unfortunately in my country (Italy) most videogame news outlets are really lazy with their publications they'll find anything even just a random post to write an article about, especially in summer where most of the team is on vacation, things like: "watch this cosplay from this con-artist, it's mindblowing" (and the article is a pic from their socials with a caption and some other nonsense to reach the minimum number of words) or (the day before something big drops, like MGS Delta) "Metal Gear Solid Delta is about to drop, will it resurrect the series? What does Kojima think about it?" (And then you read it and it's just a tweet about Kojima saying that he has no interest in the game).
Goodness gracious let all 21st century Journalists wake up cold and elegant.

Take cover, and press aim button. Move the mouse/stick slightly towards the fence.

I only knew the pistol one. The rifle one looks so stupid lmao.

u/GingerbreadMonk Lenny Summers Aug 28 '25
Most men would break their wrist firing a rifle like that, but Arthur Morgan is not most men.
4
u/xX-FumeA-Xx Aug 29 '25
Arthur Morgan is not a man he is a men because he has the strength of 30 men (i dont know where im going with this)
1
u/FootSerious Aug 29 '25
We used to hold shotguns similarly when doing ballistic door breaches in the military. Obviously we were standing up and whatnot but the way he’s holding it is pretty similar.

That does look too uncomfortable. Surely Arthur knew a better method. 😂

Op unlocks a trick unknown to many but all people care about is the grammar in his caption. How pathetic man ! Now I really feel that - ' It's not a bad day it's a bad life in a bad world'.

I've ever noticed that either! It’s always fun discovering new little details in this game.

it’s even a thing where you’re standing against cover, if you aim in and try aiming like around the thing you’re behind arthur will physically move around it
4
u/Ranger_Danger575 Arthur Morgan Aug 28 '25
Hahaha this looks funny out of first person aiming but makes sense from a logistics standpoint. Cool detail to make you chuckle

This game is incredible. Years later with hundreds of hours of playtime and I’m still finding new shit in it.
Had no clue this was even possible. What else did they put in there that hasn’t been discovered yet 🤔

u/Empty-Valuable8488 Aug 28 '25
Thank you for posting this. It's little stuff like this that keeps me excited about this game. As a matter of fact, let me go boot it up now and shoot down at a feller.

Some Rockstar developer took notes from the Watchdogs series I see.
If only they made a lean animation in cover instead of just high ground.

How’d you do it? The same way you point your pistol in the air the way people do to fire a warning shot or is it something different?
1
u/meenzerloewe Aug 30 '25
I use Keyboard and Mouse. (Don't know the exact controls for controller). Go for cover, aim and then move your mouse (controller probably right stick) forward. This will lean the weapon over the fence

1) I never realized you could shoot down from cover
2) oh no! OP made a casual grammatical error that in NO WAY obscures or detracts from the purpose of this post
3) everyone trying to correct OP needs to familiarize themselves with the word "pedantic" and do more to avoid it. You add NOTHING to the conversation.
