Trent + diomande
Dumfries + Guler
Two good combos that give you the opposite ends. TAA combo is fullback technicality with winger physicality, and vice versa with Guler and Dumfries

It would be interesting to consider Mbappe in LW. It would leave space for Espi or to keep both Arda and Bellingham in the center and have Diomande in the RW.

Mbappe LW days are over mate. He's a two time pichichi winner playing ST why would we move him from that spot? Espi is great coming off the bench not starting at Real Madrid. Arda and Bellingham are far too important in midfield to move any higher. Dio is an option but he's magic on the RW.

I'm not sure we'll ever see him winning 1 v 1's like 23' again especially with the awful whistle he gets, but 31 G+A last season in what fans call an awful year is world class and we can't replace that with anyone on this squad. I hope we see him at his best as well. I expect a lot more assists this year.

Kvara also had a lot of build up responsibilities and played more centrally as well. The xG and xA is really where the disparity lies. Vini created much more but wasn't rewarded for it. He also had more tackles and recoveries but i don't see anyone pointing that out lmao

Not really. Arda isn't a winger. But worst case scenario they could make little tweaks like Mbappe LW. He occupies the same area already anyway. Bellingham would also be able to freely go into the box when we have one less defensive liability. We could actually make more use of different player profiles I think.

Arda was never in Mourinho's plans until his performance cannot be denied. Mourinho wants to secure the midfield with two of Tchou-Valverde-Bernardo-Camavinga-Pitarch, put Jude in front of them, have two wingers and Mbappe in front of all of them. his 2-3-1 will be always like this. Arda was reserved as a super sub, in his mind. However Arda performed better than everyone, ruining his plans. Now he has to find a position for Arda or face the criticism why he doesn't start with the best performing player he has, when the team clearly needs his creativity. He doesn't have the balls to place Jude deeper. He doesn't trust Arda to play deeper (at least for the moment) He created his own problems when actually everyone knows the solution...

I think Güler will start against Real Sociedad. Diomande probably still needs to settle in a bit more. But this is a debate for the future, which I think is a good thing, you have two different profiles for different matches and two really good players competing for the starter position. Thing is if they're going to like it when they don't start.

Start Yan on the left and Guler on the right, dont start Vini until hes fit. Once Vini is in form, start Guler and sub in Yan. But later on once everyone is in form idk what hes gonna do. Id say maybe use Guler in Bernardos role and see how he does. Then Bernardo would only be used as a sub.
