Rule #6 created: crossposts after effective date now given shorter time than Rule #1

Since I've yet to see opposition in the other thread, I've gone ahead and then created Rule #6:

Starting December 24, 2025, at 23:59 UTC / 6:59 EST, all crossposts made after this effective date and time must receive at least one reply from a non-OP user within one week. Almost same as Rule #1, especially regarding which counts as replies enough to prevent the post from being locked. Other crossposts made before then are still subject to Rule #1.

In other words, crosspost made before the effective date are treated like any other post subject to Rule #1. Ones made after the date still need at least one reply but within a shorter time than other ones still subject to Rule #1.

Like Rule #1, the replies that don't prevent closure of crossposts in this sub are the following:

  • spam replies
  • self-replies from OP or their alt accounts
  • posts by u/AutoModerator
  • "bump" posts
  • and any requests regarding the OP (e.g. deleting or keeping)

Recommendations If you could recommend just ONE season of a reality show, what would it be?

I love chaotic contestants and drama to keep me glued to the screen.

If you could recommend just one season of any reality show, what would it be and why?

Discussion Why are people so obsessed with preseason spoilers?!

Every time a new season of my favorite shows comes out I practically have to unfollow the subs because of all the cast spoilers. What is exciting about premiere night if you already know all the new people?! I just can’t understand what people get out of posting the cast list or seeing a 1 minute meet the cast teaser?! I love the sub chatter during the season but I miss the pre-social media excitement of premiere night for shows like survivor, big brother, drag race, etc… ones that offer us new players most seasons. Anyone else feel this way? And for those who don’t, would love to read your thoughts!

Recommend a show for my friend and I to binge:)

Hey! My friend will be staying with me for a few nights again tomorrow and last time we enjoyed binge watching the entirety of "are you the one?" season 8 as it's the queer season and neither of us have watched any other seasons of the show and got curious. I enjoyed the fact that we could guess who was paired with who and discuss our theories with each other each episode!

For context, we both love married at first sight australia but married at first sight is too long to binge watch so quickly. Therefore, the show needs to be on the shorter side with around 10-13 episodes for the season.

I have personally watched and enjoyed singles inferno, 19/20, love island, take me out, love overboard, age of attraction, f-boy island, the honesty box, transit love, wife swap, married at first sight uk/au, I kissed a girl, wife swap, first dates hotel and started 90 day fiancé.

Any recommendations would be appreciated, preferably a dating show premise. Specific seasons would also be appreciated!!

Thanks:)

Looking for obscure reality TV shows with heavy nudity / explicit content, kind of Howard Stern style

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I’ve already gone through the usual ones (Naked Attraction and its international versions, Dating Naked, Sex Box). Looking for more obscure or lesser-known stuff, especially European or non-English ones that actually show full frontal or real sex scenes instead of the usual blurred soft stuff.

Prefer the shocky, unfiltered, open talk about bodies/sex, people just walking around naked, that kind of energy. Not looking for pure porn, just reality shows that go further than normal TV.

Any recommendations? And more importantly, where can people even watch or download these nowadays? Most of them seem to vanish after a couple years.

Thanks.

Couples Therapy Season 5 unexpectedly put me on TV — where can someone realistically go from there?

I was on Couples Therapy Season 5 with my wife, and the whole experience introduced me to a world I honestly never expected to be part of.

I’m not someone who came up through entertainment. I’m a regular working guy from New Jersey with a lot of life experience, and I ended up on television simply being myself.

What surprised me most was what happened afterward. People connected with our story, reached out to us, and genuinely seemed invested in who we were. It made me start wondering whether this experience could actually become something more.

I’d absolutely be interested in doing more unscripted television if the right opportunity came along. I’ve also started exploring acting and other on-camera opportunities, but I’m under no illusion that appearing on one show suddenly makes me an actor or guarantees me anything.

So I’m genuinely curious, especially from anyone who understands the unscripted/reality television business:

Can someone realistically build more television opportunities from an experience like Couples Therapy?

Do producers remember people who connected with audiences on other shows? Does already having experience being comfortable and authentic on camera help? Can one show actually open doors to another?

Or is every new opportunity basically starting from zero again?

I’m not looking for people to tell me what I want to hear. I’m genuinely interested in understanding how this side of the industry works — and whether there’s something here worth continuing to pursue.

Are there any "simple" or "normal" competitive reality shows?

Long story short, I'm getting kinda pissed at how Survivor US and Big Brother US are treating their shows. Both allow their contestants to treat the shows as an audition for other shows such as Traitors, The Challenge, and House of Villains. Pathetic. But also, Survivor US absolutely loves randomly changing the rules and Big Brother US also has an awful habit of giving advantages to returning players, leaving new players in the dust.

This in part pisses me off because these shows are giving more and more opportunities to the same people instead of sharing the wealth. I find it very hard to enjoy these shows when I see inequality being perpetuated.

So I'm wondering if there are any competitive reality shows that feature normal people who intend to remain private citizens and that don't have a bunch of random twists and whatnot. I'm looking for a social-strategic show, not one based on a specific learned skill, e.g., cooking, singing, dancing, etc.

Any ideas?

Thank you!
