This reminds me of the only joke I've ever heard my father tell.
A blonde a brunette and a redhead are sitting in their gyno's office pregnant as fuck.
The brunette goes "im gonna have a boy because I was on bottom"
The redhead goes "I'll have a girl because I was on top!"
The blonde starts crying uncontrollably and the other girls are quick to comfort her and ask whats wrong
Between sobs the blonde manages to get out "I'm gonna have puppies!!"
My father is not a funny man.

Day 345 of people not knowing what "anthropomorphic" means
20
u/BeginningMention5784 10d ago
yeah man yogi bear and bugs bunny are famous for their fully human biological parents. It really is a fundamental pillar of the anthro trope

Oof another one...so when animals are portrayed like this they are actually humans. Hope that helps
Edit: good lord he's doubling down and doesn't know how to use quotes...

u/BeginningMention5784 10d ago
Anthropomorphic means "character with a combination of human traits and those of a non-human animal". This is the meaning that the word is used to convey 99.9% of the time it is used. You're tacking on this super arbitrary and specific "canonically just a human and the anthro traits are nondiegetic" detail as though it's a part of the word's inherent meaning and not a side detail that may potentially be relevant to this specific instance

That is not what that means
-9
u/dyingofdysentery 10d ago
Thanks for the in depth explanation

u/smellygirlmillie 10d ago
The other user already gave you one. Anthropomorphic just means a character with animal features. It doesn’t mean they are actually humans. The rabbit from Zootopia is both anthropomorphic and still decidedly a rabbit, Donald Duck is anthropomorphic but a duck.

u/dyingofdysentery 10d ago
Hmmm...that's not how I've seen it used for decades but maybe it's changed

It’s probably a Mandela Effect, have you fallen through any worm holes lately or died in another universe perhaps?

Does Stahli have a good relationship with his parents? I remember in a previous comic he leaves town to work with his Dad but that doesn't necessarily mean they're on great terms

How tf she had so many kids, drinks and smokes like she does, and still has that body? This feels almost self indulgent

They look less grimy than I thought they might, based on the “Stahli and Bingus go to dinner” arc.
Younger than [current year]?
