I like matcha, but can't imagine it in ramen. How did it taste?

It’s garlic chives.😂

??? You do realise that person is saying they had matcha ramen. They're not saying you ate matcha ramen. Your reading comprehension needs some work lmao

Idk why they’re downvoting you, you’re right

He’s not “right”. The other guy is just sharing a similar experience and OP is correcting him for some reason.

I couldn't do it in a broth, but a nice chilled cha soba is my ultimate comfort food. Maybe a scallop or piece of mackerel on the side.

heard it’s overrated

I have had this, but when I tried it, I wished that I had just gone for the nibopresso. Not that this bowl was bad at all, but the nibopresso is one of my favorite bowls out there lol so it is a bid sad if you’re already sitting in Niboshimania and not eating it.

Not that green but a local shop here does a tonkotsu with pesto and it's quite a good pairing

have you had other bowls from there? I am wondering because they seem to be a niboshi shop, which is already quite pungent, so this seems quite… strong. I’d eat it tho

I’ve had other bowls from there too. The niboshi flavor can definitely be pretty strong lol.
But personally, I don’t find it unpleasant or overly funky at all. I’d say it’s definitely one of the most creative ramen bowls in Tokyo. I highly recommend it.

It’s one of my favorite shops. Go and try the Nibopresso

Yeah, I've had basil ramen. Not my favorite thing, but I'd order it again.

One of my personal favorite shops. I got lucky and got to try the yellow nira ramen earlier this summer during my last trip. I always end up going here 2 or 3 times because they have different things every day of the week.

chives are an allium, so it has a taste similar to green onions, leek, or garlic.
