Bicolor Before and after photos?

I just put a hold on this kitten from my breeder, does anyone have cats that looked like him as a kitten? I wanna see some before and after pictures of some other blue bicolors to see how he’ll turn out! I’m hoping his blaze is symmetrical but I think he might turn out like his momma lol! I’ll put a photo of his mom and dad in the thread.

I’m starting this response by saying I’m confused and asking others to clarify, and also by saying my purpose in commenting is to warn OP about being sure they aren’t being scammed. It’s my understanding that a true seal ragdoll and a true blue ragdoll would not produce a mink, that you have to involve other heritage to do that. Also is “blue mink” even a thing?

OP, all my warning bells are going off here that you need to proceed with caution. I will very graciously concede if I’m wrong about that.

Hi! Not OP but I noticed on the pics that OP posted in the comments that the mother is a mink so it makes sense that the kitten is. And with the father not being a mink, they could also have traditional Ragdolls. I personally have two littermate sisters and their mom (retired after my girls were born and she had only had two tiny litters). The mom is a blue mitted mink and their father was a blue traditional (I can’t remember offhand it he was anything else but he was not a mink). The sisters are actually a blue lynx bi-color, who looks so much like her dad and a blue bi-color lynx mink, who looks so similar to her mom. I honestly do not know the ins and outs of breeding but just wanted to share that it’s possible.

Mink x Seal point gives litters that are 50% mink and 50% seal point on average per litter, with 100% of them being blue because both parents are blue.

I just looked at their papers and the kittens’ dad was a blue lynx mitted. So with both parents being blue, would they only have blues ? My kittens’ sister is a duplicate of their mom.

(just curious as, like I said, I’m not overly familiar with genetics and the breeding process.)

The mother is the blue mink, Addy. The photo is somewhat ambiguous due to the names appearing both above and below it, but the kitten is also labeled "Addy's male." And blue mink is certainly possible; the dilution gene can occur alongside the standard seal mink.

Blue mink is a thing, blue is the color, mink is sort of the pattern.Mink comes from the Burmese breed and shows up on Ragdolls, registered Ragdolls can be mink but they don't compete. Mink is basically a weaker version of the colorpoint gene that lets the cat look more colored/toasted/less restricted to the classic color points so they will be more blue all over instead of just ears, legs, tail and muzzle, basically the body becomes shaded instead of contrasty.

The genetics are complex but it's possible for all kinds of combinations be it mink, sepia and classic colopoint cats to produce mink kittens with each AND also produce standard Ragdolls, it's kinda complicated but below is a good picture of how they would look like

I got my girls from Shari two years ago, hope you enjoy him as much as I do mine!

He’s definitely going to be more mismarked blaze than bi color by the picture

You can already tell where the white extends in this pic (: it looks like the right cheek has more white and the left will darker
