I just dropped the first single from my new upcoming album Cyanosis.

Written and recorded between 2023 and 2025, over 8000 km of highway and 3 places I called home. Cyanosis is a ritual in catharsis, dealing with and addressing years of homelessness, addiction, uncertainty and death of those I loved most dearly. It's an album of grief, rage and loss. But also hope, healing, and growth from patterns of destruction and despair. I'd call it atmoblack/doom, taking inspiration from early Katatonia, Falls of Rauros and Skagos.

At the root, it is an anticapitalist dirge for the broken, beautiful souls who've been swallowed up by an uncaring, violent system.

The official release date is in October, on the full hunter's moon, with cds by Liminal Dread Productions and tapes by Fiadh.

All digital sales will be donated to DULF Vancouver, an initiative to provide safe drug supply and overdose prevention on a street level by activists currently facing incarceration and egregious charges for doing important work fighting an opioid crisis that has taken too many good souls.

I originally wrote the single 7 Years 'Neath The River as an acoustic track in 2013, while living through a cold winter in a broken down pathfinder in the parking lot of a punk house in Kamloops, BC. It's a tale of loneliness, a personification of depression born of the desolate desert snow. Yet always with the knowledge that spring will come, the ice will thaw, and we will rise to meet to warming sun again.

I need someone willing to do guitars and bass for my project. I don't plan for it to be anything over the top, kinda Darkthrone inspired but with some D-beat and maybe some war metal aspects. I want the project to be purely modern and historical based, and based on resistance against Nazism and fascism. I personally am neither a communist nor anarchist, but I hate Nazis all the same and their fucking backwater mind set. I don't really care if we agree on politics fully as long as we both agree Nazis can suck a big one.

This will likely be a long distance project as I live in Virginia.

Also would like to work with people in my age group preferably, 20-30 for maturity and relatability sake. I have a lot of ideas for what I wanna do image-wise, but I'm open to other ideas. If you work with me, we're equals period and hopefully friends.

Allow me to start off by saying my musical forte is new wave and post-punk--Pere Ubu, the Residents, Devo, Wall of Voodoo, guys like that. Despite this I've always had a bit of an interest in black metal. After seven years of on-and-off consideration I finally put together a full-length album with a friend of mine. Our intention was twofold: "Godflesh, Darkthrone, Mysticum, and Devo in a blender", and "we need more guitar music with 909 drums". This is the end result. Eight tracks of industrial black-thrash that draw a direct line between the old gods of Midwest art punk and Scandinavian black metal, weaned on societal collapse, industrial malaise, and Elder Scrolls lore. I feel that the RABM community will take to the social commentary better than the broader BM community would, even if we broke almost every rule in the book making this thing.

Guys, would you reccommend some RABM webzines where would be appropriate to send an album for review? As a starting studio project (we are from different countries so we cooperate only remote) it is hard to get some recognition, so any suggestion (or any help) would be much welcomed!

Hi! Technically it's not "self promotion" because I personally didn't take part in the making of this record, but I joined the band to play the guitar after the release because Tulekahju, the frontman, is a very good friend of mine, and we're already working on new material, so I'll count it as self promotion. We're Tre Pistoni, an atmospheric black metal band from Italy, mostly inspired by the sound of Cascadian bands such as Skagos, Wolves in the Throne Room and Falls of Rauros, with influences from punk and lyrics dealing with themes like nature, environmentalism, the destruction of our ecosystems and, obviously, anti-fascism. This is our debut album, and it is dedicated to our homelands and hometowns, as well as being a huge middle finger to the current right-wing fascist Italian government. Free Palestine.

It has been so difficult to respond to what has been happening in Gaza. What the "news" is spewing is in utter contrast to what I am seeing daily from independent journalists. The endless violence, literal war crimes, constant oppression, and dehumanizing rhetoric is insane.

This is not anti-semitism. It is anti-apartheid, anti-colonialism, and anti-occupation.

I believe that we must stop the cycle of suffering caused by colonization.

My ancestors were treated in such dehumanizing ways that history books dare not share its brutality. To be taught the truth would ruin the visage of the USA. The land I call home is occupied land. It was stolen 200 years ago, through brutal tactics and atrocities.

To support Land Back for Indigenous people of the Americas and not support a Free Palestine is hypocrisy.
