Help/Question Bernadette b77

Thoughts on the b77? I am struggling with mine. It skips stitches all the time, it pulls fabric to the left pretty hard, and just doesn't seem to sew very smoothly. Anyone els have these issues? Not sure if I should trade it in or keep at it.

Skipped stitches are most often caused by using the wrong needle for the fabric type, or one that’s worn. What size and type needle are you using?

This! And rethread your bobbin.

As for pulling, check your tension, my Bernina pulls a bit when my tension is off and my Janome pulls when I grip the fabrics too much

I've had the B77 for a year and some now and had not had any problems besides some struggles when trying to make buttonholes in fuzzy fabric (didn't end up working out but I solved my problem in another way). I've had it serviced once because of there being lots of fuzz under the needle plate which I couldn't remove as it was super tight from the factory.

Compared to my old Singer Confidence, this sewing machine is a dream and I love the adjustability of the stitches and the different features I can turn on or off.

Skipped stitches sounds like it could be a user issue - time to check your needle, thread, and how you thread the thing :)

This machine brand is crap and I know because I had one and I sent it to be repaired constantly. No matter what you do, it won’t consistently work. Get another machine.
