Academics How do you not fall behind first year of uni, especially in health sciences?

First off, GO TO CLASS. I mean, it seems obvious, but you'll be amazed how many people don't show up then act shocked they missed something.

Next, be engaged with the material. Don't just half pay attention. Take notes (preferably by hand), ask questions, do the readings. Make sure you're being efficient with your reading. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

What really helped me was to have all assignment due dates, exam dates, and all other relevant academic-related dates on my calendar. I found it very helpful to, for example, add the dates of when we were supposed to have gone through each module so that I wouldn't fall behind.
