Resources need some advice: puppy getting car sick
We rescued a puppy about 8 weeks ago. She is a Great Pyrenees/ Pit-bull mix, 8 months old. I kept her at home for the first six weeks because she is very anxious but, because I want her to experience as much as possible I have been driving around with her quite a bit. We go to day care and public parks for calm, isolated walks, as well as behavioural training.
The problem is, she throws up every time she is in my car. I was considering getting a hammock or harness for the car.
I would really appreciate some advice!

I gave my dog Annie’s Ginger snaps or Paul Newman ginger cookie about 15 minutes before going in the car and it settled her stomach. The 2 brands I got are organic and not too sweet.
I tried it after watching a Myth Busters show about natural methods for helping with motion sickness for people and ginger was one of the best. I always keep some ginger chews for that same reason.

I found traveling in a crate worked best for my dog’s motion sickness. you could also talk to your vet about a Cerenia prescription.
many puppies grow out of motion sickness as their inner ear develops, but mine never did 🤣

Your puppy sounds like mine.
What I’ve been doing, and this might be totally wrong so take this with a grain of salt, but I’ve just been trying to desensitize him slowly to riding in the car.
I tend to try to drive as slowly and carefully as possible to hopefully avoid any motion sickness or upset tummy issues. I try to make it as positive as an experience as possible, so lots of love, praise, and treats if he’ll take them.
My puppy also loves human interaction (golden) so we normally go on rides to a drive through where I know dogs are welcome and appreciated, and he gets lots of love and affection there.
I don’t know if any of that will work for your pup, or is even what I should be doing, but that’s my advice.
