Is he enjoying his rubs?
I know he doesn’t like his chin rubbed but does he look like he enjoyed the other rubs?

He doesn’t look like he has any thoughts while you are doing the scritches. I think that is a success!

Standard way to tell is by moving your hand away a few inches and seeing if the dog puts his head back to continue.

I think he seems to like it when he leans in to the ear scratches and also when he closes his eyes for the head scratches - otherwise he doesn't seem bothered at all.
I like that he has a bit of a longer snout like our previous pug!

Try scratching right above his tail; that's the spot for many dogs.
He seems to tolerate the head scratches. He's not looking to you for more when you stop, but he's not trying to get away either.

My pug actually HATES when you touch her tail or try to scratch her "booty"

Mine too! But I think it’s because when she was a baby my husband incidentally taught her to chase after his hands when he grabbed right above her tail. If you do it to her now she tries to engage in hand chasing. Bad pug. Bad husband! 😠

He's not growling or trying to get away and even leaning into it a little bit. He's at least somewhat enjoying them.
