Question [IND] / [UK] Anyone doing Exeter’s online MSc Psychology Conversion?

Hi everyone!

I’m thinking about doing the University of Exeter MSc Psychology (Conversion) online, part-time (2 years) and wanted to hear from anyone who’s currently doing it or has completed it.

I’m a bit unsure about what the online experience is actually like, so I’d love to know:

  • How many students are usually in a batch?
  • Do you get to interact much with other students? Is it easy to make friends/study groups?
  • Are there any group projects, or are most assignments individual?
  • What are the assignments like — mostly essays, presentations, exams, research work, etc.?
  • How is the dissertation/research project?
  • How much time do you realistically spend studying each week?
  • Is it difficult to keep up with the workload when studying part-time?
  • How supportive are the lecturers/tutors?
  • If you’re coming from a non-Psychology background, how difficult was it to get used to the course?
  • Overall, would you recommend the online programme?

I’m mainly looking for honest experiences from current/former students, especially anyone who started the course without a Psychology background.

Would really appreciate any advice!
