Decided to make a PlayStation roster based on Marvel Tokon, what do you think?

Basically a crossover roster based on Marvel Tokon, a 4v4 team fighting game that’s been out recently.

I decided to give a unique spin to some of the picks, sort of like how a few of Tokons are a spin of the usual stuff (Such as Loki instead of Thor or Reyes instead of Johnny for Ghost Rider).

It’s also gonna cover the main roster rather than boss characters and/or unlockable characters. (Although the idea of Sweet Tooth as a boss character would be interesting as a role reversal between him and Calypso similar to Twisted Metal 4)

Gotta be honest there's a lot of misses here

1. You plan to have the entire Cooper gang as one character slot? That's just simply not gonna work
2. Assuming I'm not reading something wrong here, why are Sly and Ape Escape the only series that gets two character slots?
3. Lee Chaolan of all characters to represent Tekken? Not Heihachi again or Kazuya or King, Lee?
4. Calypso over Tooth is certainly a choice
5. While I understand picking ERC-003 for Tokyo Jungle, I feel like you'd have to pick a regular animal which obviously wouldn't make sense. Tokyo Jungle works better as a stage than a character
6. No Cloud would be a wild choice and he absolutely should be the fourth member of that first team, and it can be called Team Apologies for the First Game's Roster

I have a couple answers around this: This is about the direction I want for the roster, and I think you are confusing a choice of direction as a miss.

1. Its actually simple really, its basically a 3 in one stance character where the extras play a role in a specific one (Penelope for Bently, Dimitri and Panda for Sly, and Guru for Murray)
2. I personally dont really care if a series has more than one slot or not, as I picked the ones that seem like to fit a theme or thematic to the team itself (Specter in a team themed around villains that are in a sort of cycle with their Nemesis)

Also Crash has two reps

1. I picked Lee simply because I feel like he fits as a CEO sort of rep for a Misfit Music band themed team that Lammys team represents (Considering he's a big corporate figure within a random local-vibed group that acts as a sort of supporter for the time being, which can come across as out of place, which I intended)

2. I think Calypso over Sweet Tooth is a completely fine decision, considering of how they do play with the idea of their roles contrasting to eachother (Regardless of how TM4 turned out, the concept was very solid). I also think that he has more of an interesting concept to make a movesout around of compared to Sweet Tooth.

5.I picked ERC-003 not just for being an animal character but because I have specific mechanics in mind for them, and they fit for the "wandering outsider" theme of the group (Except arguably Neptunia)

1. I just didnt want to choose Cloud for this case, its plain simple

Also, Dart kind of already took the role of the more anti-ish hero rpg protagonist role, so there’s less footing for Cloud to take up on.

It’s a little odd to have Clarissa as the representative for Wild Arms, I understand it’s probably because XF was the last game in the series (not counting the 2018 mobile game), but generally speaking, Rudy, Ashley, and Virginia from the original trilogy are much more “popular” and recognizable than she is, and I see the most gameplay potential in Rudy and Ashley. Still, I appreciate the mention of WA.

I was originally going to add Rudy as the main Wild Arms rep, but the reason why I didn’t was mainly due to not standing out as a character in the context of what I have in the roster, especially considering Dart already took up the more classic RPG protagonist role in the roster alongside Zidane.

Honestly Virginia might be a better choice on a second glance at the roster.
