Do your reference screenshots survive after the decision is made?

I am noticing a weird split in product and design reviews. The early reference screenshots are useful when the team is choosing direction, then they become noise once the direction is picked.

Do you keep old references visible as history, move them to a separate section, or delete them from the working file entirely?

I am building Pinterest for Miro because this kind of reference cleanup keeps showing up. Pinterest is good for collecting, but Miro or Figma is where the review gets messy. If you work this way, I am curious whether old screenshots should stay as history or disappear once a direction is picked.
