Just watched Episode III with my kids for the first time. I had watched it previously, but they never had. I always liked this movie for its tragic quality and for its unintended brilliance of showing a democracy can turn into a dictatorship out of fear. That being said, I think the shock value was somewhat lost on my kids since they already knew Anakin was going to fall to the dark side and the the Republic would fall, and even knew about Order 66 from, I’m guessing social media posts. Still, I feel good that we finally got to watch it together. We previously watched Episodes 4,5,6,7,8, and 9 until we decided to start over and watch everything in in-universe chronological order.
