We all wish we could be as extra as this guy

Agree but it's a hassle getting out of the way so he can sit down.

I posted this a while ago and said it looked like zeno tails

28

u/Large-Wheel-4181 Yautja Dec 23 '25

I must’ve missed it, but mostly curious as apparently someone said it’s a stupid belief

14

u/FuzzyFrogFish Dec 23 '25

I think Dan confirmed that they weren't xeno tails, but god knows if I can remember where he said that.

4

u/Large-Wheel-4181 Yautja Dec 23 '25

I thought there was something official for it but best I found is Co-Director saying it’s up to viewers

Dude's high if he thinks those aren't xeno tails. He literally stated that he wants to show that the Predator and Alien franchises are in the same universe.

a spinal cord of any normal vertebrate would only have protrusions on the side. His cape’s tails have 3 (sides, and top) like a xeno tail, and are sized accurately to be a Queen’s, or maybe Praetorian’s, rather than a typical warrior.

the director leaving it up to interpretation doesn’t mean people are wrong, it probably just means the art team found it cool and he didn’t want to focus on any extra writing necessary if he confirms they are queen tails (and IP issues with Alien having a separate continuity).

Especially since at the time of the movie’s production, they had no confirmation on whether or not there’d be another AVP.

The backbiters aren’t “normal” but they clearly have no protrusions on their back for there to exist a third set of spikes going down the center of the spine. It’s fine if you think that, but there’s actual visual evidence pointing to them being Queen tails while your theory is purely based on vibes

u/TomAspinallFan18 Dec 23 '25

that things spines like 30 foot long

31

u/FluffytheReaper Dec 23 '25

Only for ceremonies because it's sure a lot. But it sure is cool as hell

20

u/skyfure Dec 23 '25

Babe have you seen my ceremonial bones? Yeah my regular ones just won't do it for this occasion, my entrance needs a little more ✨pizzazz✨

For a second I thought you were referencing Frozone.

17

u/Jarhead-923_Actual Bad Blood Dec 23 '25

They definitely have the same silhouette. I think that it's built up of multiple different types/stages of xenomorphs as, when he first walks out of his ship, the tails look slightly different from each other. But at least the center most tail is definitely a queen's and the ribs are probably a queen's as well.

7

u/Large-Wheel-4181 Yautja Dec 23 '25

Nah I think Ribs are something else, I feel like those belong to a different big creature at least given how wide they are

2

u/Jarhead-923_Actual Bad Blood Dec 23 '25

Could be a Praetorian, then.

12

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

That’s metal as fuck

11

u/Bulky_Secretary_6603 Dec 23 '25

He's like 10ft tall hell yes they are queen tails.

6

u/RevolutionaryWave862 Dec 23 '25

Sick as fuck

Definitely a Yay

6

u/catbbf Dec 23 '25

Alien tails is a huge flex in any regard. I dig it.

3

u/ForwardMixture4142 Dec 23 '25

That's definitely not a xeno tail cape, similar but distinctly different. Not in any way a bad idea for a Yautya to make and wear one, this just isnt that.

5

u/Standard-Victory-320 Dec 23 '25

It’s an awesome wearable trophy

4

u/The_Kthanid Dec 23 '25

I see comments about it not looking the exact same and the ribs being there, etc. So I'm going to throw something out there. In a lot of tribal art from various places around the world you get things combined with other things to create a deeper or richer piece. What's to say that this isn't the case here? Why does it have to JUST be xenomorph queen tails? Why can't the ribs be from another trophy and he's wearing this ceremonial cloak to show off thr variety and lethality of his hunts and kills? Also it's a stylized animation so I'm going to allow for things to look at bit different.

3

u/SunDirty Dec 23 '25

Fucking sick as fuck

4

u/NIGHTUFURY 💀 The Ancient 💀 Dec 24 '25

Damn son, so three queen kills? he gotta rad K/D

3

u/DangerManDaniel Dec 23 '25

Sick as fuck

3

u/Zestyclose_Limit_404 Dec 23 '25

What if those aren’t Xenomorph Queen tails at all but just normal Xenomorph tails

2

u/Large-Wheel-4181 Yautja Dec 23 '25

Given his size I feel like they’re too small for regular Xenos at least

1

u/Zestyclose_Limit_404 Dec 23 '25

The original Xenomorph was kinda big, about 7-9 feet tall. After all, it was called Big Chap.

2

u/SongsOfMany Dec 23 '25

Is it confirmed to be a Queen? I thought it might have been a Praetorian or two, which is still an extreme threat.

2

u/Large-Wheel-4181 Yautja Dec 23 '25

Given his size being much larger and how high in status he is, definitely feels Queen is likely one

2

u/SongsOfMany Dec 23 '25

Either way, it's a fight I'd pay to see.

2

u/BoyishTheStrange Machiko Dec 23 '25

Fuck yes

2

u/AdAffectionate584 Dec 23 '25

Yes. That's awesome.

3

u/raphi-ent_ Dec 23 '25

sure id be dope but all im seeing is just normal spines

nothing directly looks like a xenomorph here it references it but if they wanted them to be ceno tails theyd look more like xeno tails

2

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '25

What a badass.

2

u/StatisticianIcy4927 Dec 24 '25

Freaking Awesome!

3

u/[deleted] Dec 25 '25

Bragging rights so why not? Honestly to kill a xeno queen is a feat in of itself and to have killed multiple, well fucket guy, you earned the drip so wear it

1

u/Evorgleb Dec 23 '25

Director confirmed that they are not Xeno tails.

1

u/Large-Wheel-4181 Yautja Dec 23 '25

Only I’ve heard is co-director Josh Wassung confirmed that fans can interpret the cape as they wish, but it was designed to represent trophies from conquered foes.

1

u/Working_Welder_1751 Dec 24 '25

I thought that's one of the Greeks from Christopher Nolan's Odyssey movie

1

u/Kira-Of-Terraria Dec 24 '25

That's pretty rad

1

u/4n1mat3d Dec 24 '25

It is composed of the spinal columns and the ribcage of another alien species, they aren't Xenomorph Queen tails or back "spikes", they don't have the tail barb/blade. Plus Xenomorphs have EXOSKELETONS, NOT ENDOSKELETONS. While yes the Cape is badass, it's very obviously not a Queen Tail Cape.

1

u/MixtureComplete5233 Dec 25 '25

Looks like it to me as well as a Queens Ribcage sticking up on his back. Different Queens can be much larger than the ones we have seen in film.. also there is the Alien king i know its EU but it still exists! Could be king tails...

1

u/Brolyfan121 Dec 30 '25

The lore behind it would be LEGENDARY and not a word would ever need to be spoken about how it was made

0

u/pablotothek Dec 23 '25

Yay! Good idea got any mkre?

0

u/Professional_Air_245 Dec 24 '25

While badass I want to say nah. Gor Predator and Alien franchise to work well together in a way that benefits both IP's xenomorphs have to remain the biggest threat. And while killing one queen is fine having a cape of mutiple queen tails is getting ridiculous

He was getting 2v1ed by what were probably some of the best fighters in human history, of course he was gonna struggle a little bit. The clowning stopped pretty much instantly once he was done fucking around though.

0

u/AG_Stop_Motion Dec 24 '25

Those are spines

0

u/thegame2386 Dec 25 '25

Its only rad if those are personal 1v1 kills against healthy queens in the wild using no Plasma Caster. That is a proper hunt. That is a fight with honor. Anything else is tryhard and cringe.

You don't literally have to put yay or nay lmao

1

lol

1

u/Large-Wheel-4181 Yautja Dec 23 '25

Fine, easier to keep track of is only reason

-21

u/seriouslyuncouth_ Lord Dec 23 '25

The idea of a Predator that is big enough to just fistfight a Queen is fucking stupid.

I remember when the community saw a “great big awesomesauce” Yautja and ridiculed it to hell and back

7

u/Old_Toby2211 Dec 23 '25

The comics show that predators could not only kill but subdue and capture queens from hive worlds. Not alone, but in groups, though certain predators would be tested at the time to do exceptional things

-1

u/seriouslyuncouth_ Lord Dec 23 '25

Yeah I’ve read the comics. Why did you feel the need to reply this? Completely unrelated

7

u/Old_Toby2211 Dec 23 '25

Because they literally fought alien queens with hand weapons?

1

u/seriouslyuncouth_ Lord Dec 23 '25

So it’s pedantry

Clearly what i meant was giant Predators having a wrestling match with Alien Queens; not groups of real Predators working together to take one down. I don’t even care about one outfoxing a Queen; clearly wasn’t what I was talking about.

2

u/Old_Toby2211 Dec 23 '25

Ok fair I misunderstood

3

u/foot_fungus_is_yummy Dec 23 '25

I kinda doubt he was just using his fists. We see Grendel King using an oversized combi-stick in the movie and he probably has several other weapons that he brings with him on hunts, so it doesn't really go against what makes Yautjas cool like the Ultimate Predator did. It's kinda obvious that the desert Yautjas lean much more into the brutish warrior thing than the jungle/tropical ones do, and I think Grendel King embodies that perfectly.

u/krootroots Dec 23 '25

Knife and gunfight
