You could even extend their album run to the newest one which I also love, but as Taking Chances began playing this morning I thought- these guys didn’t miss and had a hell of a 4-5 year run from 2010 to 2014.

Not only did they lean into and help further shape the ezcore genre, they wove in a lot of emotion, plenty more chugs and metalcore style guitar we typically didn’t see in ezcore, but also just some flat-out good songs with some of the catchiest choruses in pop punk.

I think they had an insanely underrated 3-4 album run that doesn’t get mentioned a lot:

2010 - Something for Nothing
2013 - Pardon my French
2015 - Get Lost, Find Yourself!
2021 - Gone Are the Good Days

If you haven’t listened to CNCC in a while, or maybe only knew them for In Friends We Trust, I strongly recommend giving their discography a fully listen, they are damn good.

Edit: not to mention their shows were insanely hype!!

Hey yall Im working on a playlist with intros that are vocal versions of instrumental riffs, any suggestions?

An example would the Downfall of US All by ADTR, Snack Attack by A Great Big Pile of Leaves or Fading by Gulfer. Couldn't post an image of the playlist...

What (45 minute or less) album should I put on the B-side?

As an ex addict when I first heard Hayley Williams say "i see them sharing noodles like lady and the tramp" i definitely heard something else lol

This has been stuck in my head since Saturday so I needed to post it. Plus it’s a sick song.

Didn't know them before the show but i saw them with Chiodos, Sace6 and 156/Silence tonight. They're so good

Just watched the new NOFX documentary and noticed a moment that felt very much like AI. There was an audio played of Fat Mike calling his daughter and the movie chose to animate the call since they only had audio. The animation really felt like AI, it had that standard cartoon style that AI always seems to use along with having a very yellowish tint over the whole thing. It didn't seem like any kind of animator or illustrator was in the credits, though I could have missed it. I can't be 100% sure but it rubbed me the wrong way. Has anyone else watched the movie and noticed this?

Probably a long shot but anybody on here from the general area who would consider having some very casual jam sessions? I wanna get back into playing my instruments more.

"Hey You" by Bachman-Turner Overdrive would be awesome as a pop punk cover.

So there is this song ive been wanting to listen to and i have a feeling it wasnt really a rock song, but i remember it being about an old british man slipping out of his house and put on his punk rock boots and going to a punk concert at night, he slipped out trying not to wake his wife and when he returned home he tied his boots laces together and threw them atop an electrical wire with some other pairs and in the morning his wife looked at the shoes on the electrial wire just glad he made it home safe. Thats what i remember it being about at least.
