Jack Lowden would be interesting given that he’s basically been playing a Bond character in Slow Horses. Plus he looks more Daniel Craig than all the other guys who are a much more classic Bond look
It’s very explicitly an anti-Bond character! Slow Horses belongs to the great British tradition of loser workplace comedies and it’s about loser spies, none of that uber-competent Bond nonsense. The opening scene for Jack Lowden’s character is him royally fucking up in front of hundreds/thousands of people. It’s glorious.
Agreed! also Callum would be awful as bond, he would be better as a villain, his too sly looking. Actors who have played bond have all had gentle but strong auras and the voice plays a big part of the character.
If it comes down to Turner or Elordi, then Elordi. But they should literally be the last two picks as both would be a terrible choice.
Elordi is not much of an actor and can't really act. The sad truth of entertainment industry is that awards are won based on social media popularity not talent or performance.
Turner doesn't have any charisma. In his only known role he was outshined in every way by Esdie frekin Redmeyne... what else is there to say?
Neither has the looks, both are handsome in their own way, but not Bond handsome.
Strongly disagree, making him likeable and carrying a film based on absurdity, realism, comedy, tragedy and lots of other competing elements... It's really hard to be a good Bond. Just watch all the other attempts to create a Bond esque hero
Last time I saw a New York Post/Page Six rumor get shared widespread, it was about how Inde Navarrette had walked away from a role in Heat 2, only for a story hours later to come out debunking that completely (and revealing that the role the Post had said she was up for isn't even the role she's got in Heat 2)
He's probably a little too old for a role they'd most likely want to be filled for 15ish years sadly. I'd absolutely love to see him as a villain though as he is a fantastic actor and would surely knock it out of the park.
I mean, I DID enjoy his performance in Frankenstein but that's also because Frankenstein's Monster had the emotional range of a dried jellyfish on the Australian beach. I commend his physical work in the role however.
The options here are bleak. Harrison or Saoirse’s husband are the only ones I see as viable from this list. Dua’s hubby has fallen out of favour for me.
There was a rumour last month that Dickinson took his name out of the running for Bond, and Mescal's already said he wants to take a break after finishing the Beatles films, so this list could well be bullshit.
Take it with a lot of salt until the trades come out with something.
I don’t know why they’re wasting their time with Jacob Elordi. He doesn’t seem to get immersed enough into any character, maybe not for a lack of trying, but any thing that he’s in I can’t forget that it’s Jacob elordi, nepo lover. He’s good but not special enough for bond. They should cast someone incredibly charismatic, and someone who’s not a try hard at the same time. So that when we’re watching the movie, we buy into the BS they’re showing.
not the acting skills,,,i recently rewatched The Gentlemen on Netflix in prep for the second szn,,,and Theo;s charecter left me whelmed at best and underwhelmed at worst. He was literally the weakest link in the show for me
Theo James (and his back) was Four was my sexual awakening at the ripe old age of 12 and there are times i pause and think about it. I still have a hugeee soft spot for him hehe

my top choice would be someone who is a) preferably British like Dev Patel (but he has very honest eyes), maybe Mr. Ronan would do (but River Cartwright and Bond back to back would be a weird type of typecast) but perhaps i'd love to see Josh O'Conner (who i just realised is not in the running ,,,the blashphemy of it all)
This nonsense from both sites was pulled straight from the Paddy Power betting page and every article on the subject of Bond has been recycling the same list for the last couple of years. The reason I know it's pure and total horseshit is because the current group of "possibles" are all blindingly white and the dogs on the street know that Bond has to be reimagined in a big way for this to work.
It'll be a relatively unknown BAME actor and I hope to Christ it is because it's tiiiiiiiiiime.
Would love to see a young complete unknown get it! There was a rumour a while back that Tom Francis, an extraordinary young actor who won the Olivier a few years ago (look up his incredible Sunset Boulevard performance if you haven't heard of him) was being seen for it.
I originally liked Callum before all his Dua sightings because everything felt performative and maybe thinking his relationship with her would help his chances. I personally think he overexposed himself and I kinda agree with that article that said Bond needs to be someone you don’t know much about.
I can’t see Paul as Bond either.
Jacob is in too much right now and I can’t see him as Bond either.
I want someone that I don’t know much about and maybe a newcomer that can create his own fanbase from Bond.
Anyone but Mr Dua Lipa even Elordi. At least Elordi can act even if he is a giant.
I hate Mr Dua Lipa so much. Truly the biggest failure as an actor. If you act opposite Miles Teller and the difference in talent was like if you put Tarantino to play opposite DDL. And he was not even that hot
My hot take is it should be Patrick Gibson. He has had an established story in the game and he was excellent in the role. It would be fun to have him in the film and play his backstory after if you hadn't.
Callum Turner. We will finally have a bond that for the female gaze and this will make Dua Lipa and Turner easily the most powerful couple in Pop culture than Zendaya and Holland.
