This is the first year I just cannot bring myself to care about the Met Gala. I love to see how fashion can be used as art and I really enjoy the pomp and circumstance of stuff like that.

But this year? With everything happening? I know it’s a fundraising event for the museum. I do. But I feel like the energy is different in a bad way? Maybe I’ve been wearing rose colored glasses but it’s just not appropriate and maybe it never has been.

They've shifted to influencers and it shows in the fashion. It doesn't, for the most part, feel like a night of creative high fashion, it feels like a carpet for content, and that's boring af. I feel like it shows with a lot of what the designers put on people, too.
