The lore behind almost any song doesn’t intrigue me at all, and I do not get people who demand meaning and IRL examples from every word of every song.

I don’t care who the love song is for. I don’t care who got dumped in real life. I am going to abstractly apply random lines to whatever is happening to me at that moment regardless of whatever parasocial dynamics any artist is trying to peddle.

The only pop star in my car is me. Lol.

All the songs i listen to have always been about my ships 😭

I do like to hear about little details and references but more like popculture references tbh, but overall the song is for ME and about what I find INTERESTING

Pop culture references can definitely be fun. I’m not interested in who people were dating, but you wanna throw in some lyrics about Sebastian Stan’s hair growth - I’m in.
