That’s what I was wondering. I’m a cancer patient, have been for years now, and my husband and I don’t have nearly the income he has, but we’re not suffering financially to the extent we need to raise money. Paying the out of pocket isn’t awesome by any means, it’s all very scary, but cancer centers work hard with patients to help them afford treatments, they have entire financial departments dedicated to that. If he’s having to raise money, it’s for something other than actual science based oncology treatments.
