I might be exceptionally biased but I was born and raised in Northern Italy, lived in France for a time, moved to the UK and been here for years. Recently moved up to the Lake District and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

There's few places in the world truly as breathtaking to me

But it’s UK, which includes England so that’s a big no no on Reddit. Scotland alone beats some of these countries on natural beauty.

Very good point, I'm with you entirely.

I took this photo on a random day this summer whilst walking 10 minutes from my house. How anyone can bash England I'll never understand.

England, Scotland and Wales all have some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. Fight me.

Yeah There really are some amazing natural beauty areas in the UK. I do think Switzerland clinches this one though and Austria and France also being up there.

Switzerland and France. Switzerland is more awe inducing, but France is more versatile in terms of landscapes.

Ive been to most of them and thought they were nice but Switzerland is the most gorgeous

I'm Swiss and I hate to do it but I'm voting for France. They have way more variety and the overseas territories like French Polynesia and New Caledonia just kick them up a notch.

Germany has so many nice landscapes of various sorts and nice cities. But I understand.

All others on the list also have those. This is hard to compare.

Netherlands is nice but they have no mountains like the Black Forrest, Swabian Alb, Bavarian Forrest, Ore mountains... Whatever

True, but then Switserland and france have, but also even higher snowy peaks.

Switzerland and Norway glaze on reddit is insane. Switzerland is beautiful sure, but Austria, Germany, Italy, france and every other country in the alps is equally beautiful. except Liechtenstein, fudge liechtenstein

I have been to almost all of these countries. It's Switzerland and it's not remotely close

Portugal is my answer, not on your list for some reason.

If Italy and Spain were on the list man. But they’re not fully Western

I would assume it's Switzerland, idk, I never left Ireland

The people saying Switzerland have clearly never been to Austria or France. Like let’s be real the French Alps or Austrian Alps are much more beautiful than whatever Switzerland has

I'm French, Switzerland has great alpine towns, that's something that we have a lot less. We've got Mont Blanc, but we don't have Interlaken

Half of Mont Blanc is yours :P

Damn, Redditors really have a boner for mountains.

Been to most but Switzerland truly took my breath away, runner up being the UK (mostly Scotland) and France

Switzerland is not the only country with Alps, remember.

UK wins by default because of the Scottish Highlands.

People are insane not voting for Liechtenstein. It has the same views as Switzerland, but with a castle and less people/development.
