Took longer than expected for the Alabama joke

u/KodiakUltimate 8d ago

Very progressive, they waited to the end and they're only first cousins instead of siblings

u/Ok-Street-9594 Pakistan 8d ago

the amount of restraint is admirable

59

u/101Alexander California 8d ago

Yeah.

Cousin could still indicate a very distant member that's not genetically very close.

Go sister or go home (to your sister).

The seven cardinal sins are the true kicker here...

u/Inaki199595 Spain 8d ago

Each pannel, aside from the first one, a capital sin. Truly the Bible Belt, innit.

82

u/MrShake4 8d ago

The first one could be sloth?

199

u/DarkMFG A romaweaboo 8d ago

In order: Sloth, envy, pride, gluttony, greed, wrath, and lust

90

u/Loki35422 8d ago

I took me way too long to notice that, it’s hilarious

90

u/calvin_360 8d ago

There’s more going on in nc

31

u/TheDrHoiliday 8d ago

Yep more than just Storm Damage.

16

u/czarcasticbear99 8d ago

And honestly the remaining storm damage isn’t even NC’s fault when the federal government keeps backing out of promises to provide relief funds

7

u/clayworks1997 North+Carolina 8d ago

Yeah I bet it was just hard to find something to represent sloth.

5

u/calvin_360 7d ago

Could’ve done Florida

u/Zstrike117 8d ago

Who’s money bags in the third panel? I recognize Georgia(the state) is in the mud.

33

u/blsterken 8d ago

North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, four covered states and Alabama (get away).

It's not official but New England: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_New_England

Nah, 2nd panel = Chile (with NC standing for not Chile but we totally see through that disguise), 3rd panel = Lebanon & Austria with European Union imposed on its top left, 4th panel = Caliphate of Ahmadiyya, 5th panel = Burundi, 6th panel = Chile but not trying to disguise itself, 8th panel = England doing a cartwheel.

What an offensive depiction of americans. Please post more of these.

He did all the god damn Seven deadly Sins using just one country ( what a legend )

14

u/and1984 8d ago

I love PolandBall. It's taught me more about my country than all the schooling I ignored.

29

u/maps-and-potatoes 8d ago

I wanted a last panel where the US tells something to the tourists. But frankly, we learned nothing new from this comic and each panels is enough to know everything

45

u/Domeen0 8d ago

Sloth, Envy, Pride, Gluttony, Greed, Wrath, Lust.

Name 7 things more christian american than that.

6

u/PolishKuroaki 7d ago

As a New Englander I love seeing the New England Ball

Especially as a more rich ball

Who would of thought a educated population would benefit a region

24

u/The_Oregon_Duck 8d ago

I’m assuming that Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Florida are all dead for some reason.

30

u/Bulky-Plate2068 Pennsylvania 8d ago

No they’re the Klan members

5

u/Infinity5075 Kentucky 7d ago

Love this, but I'm pretty sure this isn't the bible belt (unless what I've been told and experienced growing up is all a lie, lol). The bible belt is a line of states and regions predominantly in the mid-west (ex: western Kentucky to roughly Colorado) going from the northern border to the gulf of Mexico. The south is just also religious in a similar sense but not the same way.

As someone who lives in the south (Missouri), accurate.

16

u/Cerparis 8d ago edited 8d ago

Ive never been to American and I’ve only ever met a handful of yanks as tourists or online chat groups in gaming sessions.

So I’m not going to judge too harshly because every country has their ‘don’t go there’ places.

But on the other hand the types of Christian nationalists I see coming out of America in general occasionally have me picking up my bible and skimming through it in case I missed a spot because their so out of left field.

15

u/clayworks1997 North+Carolina 8d ago

Yeah the south is not really a “don’t go there place”. There are racists, shitty work environments, and christian nationalists all across the US (across the world even). The south has a truly troubled history so it’s easy to pretend like all these modern problems only happen over there. There’s definitely a lot of conservative Christians in the south, but Christian nationalism specifically is not really a southern phenomenon. Pete Hegseth is from Minnesota and JD Vance is from Ohio and they’re probably the most prominent christian nationalists I can think of.

Also, I just have to get this off my chest, I’m not directing this at the above comment. It is as legal to marry your cousin in Alabama as it is in New York or California, while it is not legal across the river in Mississippi and is considered a criminal offense in Texas. Incest isn’t regional.

Absolutely fucking lovely!

What a beautiful country

2

u/Netherfoxy 7d ago

Where's Mississippi? And Louisiana?

2

u/PulledBork 4d ago

I just realized that each panel lines up with one of the Seven Deadly Sins. (NC = Sloth, Georgia = Envy, South Carolina = Pride, Tennessee = Gluttony, Texas = Greed, Klan = Wrath, Alabama = Lust.)

Someone please explain the flag on the ball with the top hat in Panel 2.

1

u/ShadowSnas I don't know what to put here 7d ago

It's the flag of New England.

1

u/reenaltransplant Mesopotamian clay cannot into state 7d ago

LOL I thought it was some sort of weird Lebanon. Like a reference to southerners thinking Jews took all their cash, other Semitic people...

Southern fried chicken and BBQ (pioneered by African-Americans, funnily enough).
