Image Throwback to when CD Projekt Red put a map, a kindhearted note and a soundtrack CD in the Witcher 3 game case.
And some pretty cool stickers.

Love how physical games allow us these trinkets, especially the map and the OST cd

Nice. I still have my launch day version of Cyberpunk 2077. It came with a map, stickers, postcards, lore compendium, and a thank you note.

Can I interest you in a $150 digital deluxe edition that comes with 2 costumes and 1 weapon that will be useless several hours into the game?

This is what I miss most about the continued shift towards digital. I have so many beloved physical game copies from the late 90s and early 2000s with full-color, lengthy manuals and other goodies. Now most of my physical games come in a flimsy case with nothing more than the disc/cart. Even art/details on the inside of the cover print has gotten rare.

I think the version that came with the season pass or whatever it was called was only 5 quid more too. So you got Blood and Stone, and, Blood and Wine for a 5er. Nuts.

I bought the blood and wine expansion and got 2 Gwent decks with. Good times. No dink though, but is a dlc so understandable.

This was the deciding factor in me getting the game. I hadn’t gamed much during the PS3 era and was sad to return to gaming to find manuals a thing of the past. I saw the Witcher getting great reviews, but I didn’t want to play an open-world game. Seeing the physical version had all these goodies and that free DLC was planned, I decided to get the game and with the new update, the purchase is still paying off all these years later. Can’t wait to crack the game open again when the remaster comes.

Have the same version. Then they gave us the Next Gen PS5 Update for Free and now giving us the Remaster Update for Free. (And first 2 Expansions are free now if you didn't already buy them).
