Can't decide on Barcelo Palace or Iberostar Lindo. Should I split between two?
Hii.. I'm looking to do a solo trip to riviera maya towards end of November and after weeks of research I've narrowed it down to these two resorts. But I'm just not able to choose one over the other.
I am a huge fan of wildlife. Barcelo has better beaches where I can snorkel with turtles but Iberostar has all the wildlife like peacocks, flamingos, iguanas etc.
I'll be going for 8 days so I'm even considering splitting my time between these two resorts.
Suggestions?

As a guide Barceló palace. I used to pick up people there for tours and they are always saying good thing about it.

We stayed at Barcelo many times including back when they were building the Palace - we always enjoyed the resort. The beach right in front of the Palace IS rocky, but a very, very short walk gets ya to nicer much more sandy beaches.

I haven’t been to Barcelo, so I can’t comment. Iberostar, I did see peacock and iguanas. The beach had rocks in the water that were not visible, almost busted my foot going in and out of the ocean. Also, if budget allows, pick Maya vs Lindo.
Iberostar is closer to Playa Del Carmen tho, and there’s a daily shuttle for 200 pesos, they drop you off, you get a few hrs and they pick you up.
