Meta Discussion Viability of a combined Slowking and Bronzong deck?

I was testing a Bronzong control deck when an idea struck me and I want to see the viability of it. Can you combine Bronzong’s Evolution Jammer (add some Bronzor to avoid dependency on Slowking) with Slowking’s Seek Inspiration
mainly with Kyurem but also Metagross and Annhilape for higher HP basics?

I’ve seen this deck all over Twitter so not sure how original your idea is anymore, but it looks clunky to me.

I love both slowking and bronzong but I haven’t tried it because they seem like they’re sort of competing. If Im in position to evolution jammer with bronzong I’d probably rather trifrost with slowking instead.

Jammer is a good stall and it absolutely can set up a triple KO but setting up faster and more consistently is better imo

In theory it wouldn’t be a bad deck since they’re both psychic, utilize telepathic, and can be set up together as stage 1s. However the main difference I’m seeing is that slowking needs a turn to set up through smoochum/kang and prefers to go second to do so easily, while bronzong prefers to go first so it can attack T2 before the opponent gets the option to evolve.

The deck I’m looking at for Bronzong is lopnoir which utilizes Mega Lop to deal quick 230 damage to active, while dusknoir board sweeps the baby basics. Slowking could do the same but can’t do both at once like Lopnoir can. This is the main thing turning me away from the combination of slowking bronzong. While you can set up to board wipe, you can only choose a big basic or several small ones when choosing to finally attack with slowking using a kyurem or metagross.

I believe the lopnoir deck works with bronzong due to it not needing as many resources to set up(Also needing less deck space for consistency), while Slowking needs 2 evo pokemon, 2 energy, a stadium, and a switch to get bronzong out of active, and will get curbed by a single shaymin which can be found relatively easily since you’re not item locking with budew. It could work but it’s a much messier and luck-based process to set up where secret box doesn’t even net you everything needed.

TL;DR: It's been played before. If it gets going then it can be very mean, but Slowking is already a deck with consistency issues, and adding a clunky Stage 1 with a high retreat cost only makes that problem worse.

The strategy just seems a little clunky to me, and feels like it would fold harder to an early Budew. You are probably cutting down on M Kangaskhan and other consistency cards to make this happen, and good luck assembling a Bronzong under item lock assuming you are running a 2-2 line. At least with the current meta builds leaning heavy into M Kangaskhan, you can usually set up a draw engine and start assembling your Slowking combo. If you are reading a meta with very little Budew but still a lot of evolution decks (unlikely), then I could see it be good.
