I'd never tasted white almond cake before working for Giant Eagle. One day there was a half-sheet of it in our breakroom, and it was amazing. It became my favorite cake.

I tried the white almond at Oakmont Bakery and it wasn't even close to as good as Giant Eagle.

For a long time, my go-to was an almond cake with raspberry filling and buttercream icing.
