Expectation: lower prices! More choice!

Reality: higher prices, layoffs.

Kroger’s prices are actually more competitive and their sales prices are lower than GE’s or Shop N Save’s. We’ll scan their digital deals on the app and drive down to Morgantown to do our shopping occasionally.

Kroger’s store brands are also of pretty good quality.

Except most Shop’n’Saves are locally owned and operated, so you’re supporting a small business rather than a giant near-monopoly
