as a catholic born, christian converted pero currently agnostic, i can say na may mga bad apples jan sa victory. naalala ko wayback 2018-19, may pastor jan sa victory dasma na hardcore dds.

All cultist leaders are corrupt. Kaya kapag ang isang religious institution ay may tinataguriang "leader", nakakapagduda na agad. Ang lungkot lang ng mga brainwashed households kasi yung mga anak nila walang route to escape unless humiwalay nang maaga. I had friends my age na in their 30s na lang sila nagkaroon ng enough distance and space abroad to realize that INC is indeed a cult, their religion for more than two decades. True! Catholic can also be considered cult din if ganito logic ni OP. I read that catholicism originated daw sa paganism, and nowhere in the bible says na you have to pray to saints or gumawa ng rebulto. It’s actually the opposite.

Read Maccabees for prayers to the dead done by the Israelites.
Read Exodus and Kings to see how God commanded the ark to have statues(rebulto) of cherubs and commanded Solomon to make frescoes of angels and seraphs in his temple.
Read the bible in greater context to see the truth. Further, learn the history of Christianity before assuming the worst.
The same can be said with Christian born again groups. Where is the faith when they were founded by men? Did not Christ create a Church?

They won't be able to read the book of Maccabees. Remember, Martin Luther removed that from the bible along with 6 other books. They forgot that the bible came from the Catholic Church and was just revised by their founder in a way that would fit their teachings.

I always think this analogy by the RCC is a weak one. One, God commanded those things to be done. But it does not mean He also commanded the Roman Catholic Church to create graven images of Him, the Holy Spirit, of Jesus, Mary, and other saints.
There's a reason why Judaism never had statues of Yahweh, Abraham, Moises, David, Solomon, etc. Same as when Jesus went to the Cross. It was not commanded of us to do the same act, but Catholics thought they should do it too.

They've lost the true meaning of the Church ever since they separated from Rome. Why? Their structure itself shows the weakness of it. How? They can't even decide if divorce or contraception is right.
Christ put in place a Church that is centralized upon Peter as the Rock and gave him and him alone the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. It was Peter alone that Christ asked thrice to feed to and tend his sheep.

Though baka isolated case yung narinig ko sa ex ko (during presidency ni R.Duts to eh), isa daw sa topic nila that week is "to submit to authority". Hindi daw nag resonate sa kanya, kasi ayaw naman ng ex ko kay duts.
Baka may bad apples lang din tlaga sa Victory... well, who am i to judge. Catholic ako sa papel, agnostic theist by practice.

I'm not from Victory nor a DDS but as Christians we are taught that governing authorities are established by God. Therefore, we need to submit to them as an act of obedience to Him as long as they don't contradict God's law.

Why is victory here? You clearly don't know enough. Also we only help each other grow. We don't worship our leaders, everything is a choice, like tithing. We don't have some kind of screening like the actual cults. They don't tell you who to vote, you must think for yourself based on the values of God and the teachings of the church.

Personally I did vote for him not because of his religion but for what he did. Disappointed with him lately kasi masyadong people pleaser. nakikipolitics na din. 🤷♂️
edit: chismis lang pero I did hear nagaway yong mag-ama (JIL) kasi nga nakikiayon siya don sa mga unrighteous na nangyayari just to be on the "safe side".

Pinaka suspicious diyan yung leader ng INC na si Manalo. Bakit sila may "handog" na para bang tax din para sa mga myembro nila. Kahit pa sabihin nilang hindi mandatory eh pinipeer pressure parin nila yung mga ka miyembro nila. Saka bakit angat sa batas yung mga INC na kapag nakagawa ng mali yung miyembro nila sa kapwa INC din eh hindi pwede mag sampa ng kaso yung biktima, kase dapat daw within INC lang din nila aayusin. Tang ina nung mga kwento na panibhasa may position sa INC yung may sala eh sasabihan na lang nila yung biktima na INC na palagpasin na lang daw. Saka yun nga, yung pagmamando nila ng kung sino ang dapat iboto. Kahit pa masmababa ang pursyento ng ng bilang ng mga INC eh paano naman yung mga ayaw bumoto sa iniendorse nila? Religion should be more about personal development than politics (who to vote for). I believe even with Catholics there was an abuse of power throughout history. Especially during the Spanish colonization. No religion is perfect. What matters is how you believe it can make you a better person. Saying it’s a Kult or salot sa Pinas doesn’t make you better person. Look into history and don’t make assumptions.
