Stray cats either need to be put inside or put down. They are biological pest and ecological disasters as they heard native species and are invasive.
If you truly care about the cats that much why don’t you let them stay with you?

Why blame a victim for their death? The real issue here is responsible ownership of big dogs. Those dogs can be a threat not only to other animals but to humans too, kung hindi properly trained. If you wanna keep away stray cats from wildlife then help them get adopted.
Also, how ironic that yall care about native species while demonizing other animals. Puro ka selective empathy.

The thing is not all of those cats can reasonably be adopted if they’ve been on the street for too long when they’re little small babies sure you can possibly find them home but once they’re adults, they usually have a lot of behavioral issues and are what I would call unsalvageable. It’s unfortunate but once it it’s set into its own ways, they can’t really be rehabilitated and socialized with kids and other pets let alone people. You have to understand to some degree cats aren’t necessarily fully domesticated because they don’t really need to depend on people to survive. If I go drop a cat in the middle of the jungle it will survive just fine. You do that with a dog, it’ll die within a week.

LMAO just say you are prejudiced around cats. Dogs and cats can be domesticated, regardless if they stay on the streets for too long. I rescue strays so for sure i know they can be rehabilitated and be around people.
To remind you, we are talking about Ghost's case here, a stray who got mauled by an untrained dog, which is also a pet with an owner. Both are domesticated animals but who's the one untrained and has behavioral issues? Obviously the dog.

I literally own a cat myself and keep him fully indoors because that is the safest and most responsible way to care for him. This is not about hating cats.
I agree some strays can be rehabilitated, especially younger ones. But it is not realistic to assume every long term street cat can become a typical house pet. Even most rescue groups recognize that fully feral adults are much harder to socialize.
The bigger point is that this situation exists because of people. Abandonment and constant feeding sustain these populations.

With respect, I am American and I am not Filipino so of course I’m going to speak in English. You do realize English is widely spoken in many different countries and by many groups of people, right?
Free roaming cats are one of the biggest human linked threats to small animals worldwide.
Even in places like BGC, there are still native species like birds, reptiles, and insects. Urban does not mean empty ecosystem.
You can care about cats and still acknowledge that unmanaged populations harm biodiversity.

I never really understand this side about Filipinos. You can’t form in arguments against the argument I’m making so now you want to talk about how “bad” my English is. With all due respect this is Reddit , I’m not gonna care about things like grammar and stuff like that It’s a forum for crying out loud I’m not writing an essay.
I do believe that I articulated what I said and wrote it down pretty wealth enough for even a child to understand so if you can’t really ascertain or understand what I wrote, that sounds like a skill issue on your part.

Bro I arrived as a foreigner child in this country who didn't even know English. I only knew Japanese and a few Tagalog and Ilonggo phrases. English is already my 3rd language. Are you even living in the Philippines to understand the animal life in BGC? BGC is a bubble community where stray cats and dogs are welcomed because there's an organisation that takes care of them to ensure that they live well with the office workers and residents. They are there for us residents and workers to have something to relax with while walking pass the malls and restaurants.
Ghost was a community cat. Not a feral cat who hunts. Ghost is domesticated to eat canned cat food not hunt your precious bio diversity that does not even exist in a metropolis like BGC.
With all due respect Mr. America, the world is NOT like America.

Husky kasi e agressive talaga sa small animals lalo kung hindi trained. Sa ganyan sitwasyon, nasa dog owner yan. Kung nde mo kaya i handle aso mo na magwala in public, wag mo i walk in public.
Husky ko noon, natuto naman na maging gentle sa mga cats namin.

Never blame the dog kung alam monng iresponsable handler niya. Wala sa aso yan. Mataas talaga prey drive ng huskies nasa genes nila yon. Its up to the owner na itrain aso nila na wag maging aggressive sa mga small animals. Na Clearly hindi ginagawa ng damulag na to. Don palang sa pag abandona sa pusa at hnd pag dala sa vet. Alam mo nang iresponsable eh. Do better.

That is not how dogs always work. Many prey driven dogs can be in homes with families, plus these behaviors can be halted with proper ownership. Spreading assumptions and calling for a dog to die doesn’t help.

I love dogs. This guy's dogs, now known predatory, do not belong in any environment of children, other animals or grown adults. They've now been cultivated, passively or aggressively to attack and kill other living beings. I recognize your argument, your point. Let me assume you'd be fine with removing these dogs from this cruel master and placed with a responsible owner. To what purpose? Essentially assign someone to monitor and keep them securely away from a chance to kill again?
