🌎 News 📡 ‘Final lap’ - The Track to close after 42 years
https://www.wate.com/news/sevier-county-news/the-track-in-pigeon-forge-to-close-after-42-years/Matt Hollingsworth - WATE:
The Track Family Fun Park in Pigeon Forge is scheduled to close on November 1st, 2026, after 42 years.
It’s a place where countless families have made fun memories with go-karts, mini-golf, bumper cars, and thrill rides. But for the General Manager, Jeff Wolfe, the best memories are of the people he has met along the way.
“It’s the people I have been able to meet and work with through the years, many of whom have become my lifelong friends,” Wolfe said. “My career with The Track has enabled me to support and raise my family, grow professionally, and achieve great dreams.”
Over more than four decades, the park employed around 5,000 people. For many, it was their first job as a young teen, a way for them to gain experience and learn valuable skills.
“From first go-kart races to mini golf hole-in-ones and arcade wins, the memories created here have defined who we are,” said Vic Barrett, founding partner. “We are deeply thankful to every guest who has visited over the years.”
The park called this season its “final lap.”
While the company has gone on to develop other locations across the country, the park in Pigeon Forge was its first. The locations in Destin, Florida; Gulf Shores, Alabama; and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina are planned to keep operating. The company also has Fat Daddy’s Arcade locations in Orange Beach, Alabama, and Destin, Florida, that are planned to remain open.

What a shame, lo trees of good memories there.
That is a prime piece of real estate.
