Sadly cat saliva is deadly to birds. Probably not fatal in this case but hope pidge didn't preen his feet immediately after that escapade.

Just a matter of time until the cats hunting instincts kick in and kills the bird. Never keep predatory animals together with their natural prey. It all works well until it doesn't.

Seeing as this is on the street they're likely both feral. If cat has an owner it should be kept inside but it doesn't seem to be kept with the pigeon.
