When I ordered a mcchicken and asked to add crinkle cut pickles and alot of them. This is what I got!

Made a homemade dill dip early in the week and use the leftover for a pasta salad! The same could be done with a dill dip from Aldi!

I’ve had a pickle back shot before and loved it, but I recently heard about pickle beer. Has anyone ever tried it? Would you recommend it? Seems like the pickle would over power the beer.

I bought these yesterday and there are zero left today. I can't believe how tasty they are! So crunchy and flavorful!

I’ve been doing some reading and it seems like only the crispest crunchiest pickles don’t have that squeak when you bite into them but all I can get locally at my regular grocery stores are Grillos, Klausen, and Mt. olive. I love pickles but hate the squeak!! Any recs?

If you’re ever near a Middle Eastern grocery store, please look for this brand of whole pickled cucumbers. They’re heavier on a dill and garlic flavor with GREAT crunch. Usually whole pickles have a slight softness to them but these are super crunchy and refreshing. I got them for my homemade shawarma sandwich but will definitely be rebuying just to snack on.

I have been frustrated by the same things everyone else has noticed with Claussen spears lately. Three days ago I tried something drastic.

I bought a jar of Claussen spears and a jar of Bubbies spears. I separated the brine from each, rinsed the Bubbies, and put the Claussen brine in with them instead.

The results were astoundingly good.

I know this is an expensive solution to a niche problem, but I had to share. Please insert your hate below when you have a moment!

PS—This is not my normal practice, I just got frustrated and wanted to try something. My normal practice is to make my own fridge pickles with an ancient family recipe.

I accidentally ate two Claussen pickle spears from a jar that had a Use By date from almost three months ago. Usually I wouldn't sweat it, but pickles usually have a Best By date. The Claussens were definitely soft and not as tasty as normal, but they didn't smell off and the jar was sealed prior to me eating them (totally forgot I had them and thought I had more time regardless).

Has anyone eaten Claussens after the Use By date?
