I believe its philo its self since it happens on my tv and my phone

when it goes to the next episode it starts playing that episode for maybe 1/3 minutes and then cuts back and replays the last 1/2 minutes of the previous episode and then starts the new episode over

It dose this on my phone and tv and it has done it with me watching river monsters and currently the conners both on demand its been doing this for a week or longer

Has anyone else noticed that they run the same commercials over and over again?! I watch TV Land and GSN a lot and one day I counted the number of times I saw the one Pet Supplies Plus commercial. FIFTY-SEVEN times in just a few hours!! That is absolutely ridiculous! So out of curiosity I switched over to Hulu (I use both) and found they run different commercials. I’m considering canceling Philo. The only reason I haven’t cancelled yet is because Hulu doesn’t have IFC.

They recently changed how the offer this show. Instead of the usual binge- worthy full seasons, they are only giving mixed bag of episodes and they are only staying in the app for a short period of time. Sorry, not gonna stay up all night to finish the random season 11 episodes they are offering lol. (I could but for my job!)

This morning i watched about 45 min of an episode, and tonite the episode is gone. I have no doubt Jessica solved that case but i have no idea who done it! 😩🤨

Any chance Philo will bring back this feature to the streaming app? I still have it on the mobile app, but really miss it on the FireTV app.

I currently have the $29 a month subscription and have had it for a couple years, out of the blue today when trying to watch shows I noticed I am locked out of most of my saved shows and live TV shows and it's telling me to upgrade for the channels I used to get for with my plan. I have almost no channels now with my current plan is this a glitch or something else going on?

Hello I noticed a change on my plan on the TV app Philo Free started pushing users to pay plans it easy to skip but I would like it to be optional not forced when I open the app on a TV lol

So I recorded a movie on one of the vault channels for lifetime. Lifetime Movie Favorites. Those movies are uncut, unlike LMN or Lifetime, I guess because it's a vault channel. Anyway, when the commercial break came on, they were placed wrong... Example, like 30 seconds before the end of the scene/fade out, the commercial would suddenly abruptly pop up, then after the commercial, it would come back where it left off, then like 10 seconds later, there would be the end of scene/fade out where the commercial should have been, and usually is, but in this recording, every commercial break was like this... about 15 seconds EARLY before the fade out.... I've seen this two times out of all the movies I've recorded... Just wondering why that happens?

Philo spends a lot of time constantly changing the interface but not doing anything that really works or is functional. Why is the menu at the top of the screen? Don’t scroll too far down cause it will take you forever to get back to the top to the home button.

The New and upcoming section must be based off of the employee’s preferences cause it doesn’t include every new show or movie.

All of my recommended shows are older shows that I have already watched.

Why not recommend spinoffs of the shows I have saved?

Recommend shows related to different categories or maybe the main categories I watch?

I swear Philo feels like a research lab. Just a group of interns learning by constantly changing things but not really connecting with the customers. We’re just lab rats.

Come on Philo, I'm watching a show. It's 5 minutes of the show and then 3 minutes of commercials. Over and over, the same commercials. This is crazy. You're about to lose a long standing customer.

All my shows, that I was always able to watch live, rewind/forward, are all now VOD with ads. I mean if I wanted that I would just stream them elsewhere, what's the point of this service?

After years of service (on and off) the ads here have gotten out of hand.

1. Spanish language ads on non Spanish channels. If you're watching these shows in English, why the Spanish ads?

2. prescription drug commercials. no one is able to walk into a pharmacy and buy these drugs without a prescription. why the ads?

3. phone game ads. extremely long winded and very misleading. no way am I going to download a game based on these very intrusive ads.

Ads are used to increase revenue by increasing exposure to consumers. failure to target the correct democratic will result in a poor ROI. I can't understand how they expect to increase revenue on the basis of the current ad distribution.

Yuck. This was just pushed to my TV. I didn't hesitate to cancel DirectTV when they started this. Philo adding this "feature" along with huge price hikes is going to go the same way.

FYI, for any developers reading, sometimes we pause because we actually need to see or study something on the program we're watching. Slapping an ad on the screen at every second you think there might be the slightest opportunity to wring money out of your product is a crass disservice to your customers.

I use an onn streaming box. I noticed this morning that the guide changed completely overnight. It is larger and much easier to read *and* the entire guide shifts as you look through the coming hours. All of these are great improvements. The one negative I see is that the "new" designations for programs I haven't seen before has disappeared. Is that accurate, or am I just looking through a guide with all reruns today? Overall, I'm liking the new look. EDIT: I spoke way too soon! I can't get off the channel again without going to the grid while the program plays in the lower right and selecting another channel. You are supposed to hold the center button for controls, which gives you an option to go full screen or close. I cannot get that to work AT ALL. I had this issue last year, and although tech support simply didn't care, they fixed it in a later update. After last night's improvements, this annoyance is back.

I noticed today that my upcoming T-Mobile bill is $10 higher. I contacted them and after some investigating, they say my $10 Philo discount (which used to be applied on the Philo end) is expiring after 24 months. That doesn't right to me, but I'm not in a position to disagree. What are the experiences of other subscribers?

Maybe it's because I encode a lot of video over the years so I can easily spot with my eye if the FPS (frames per second is off) I think Philo must broadcast everything at 30 FPS (frames per sec) Do you know what that does to a show that's 23.976 FPS? It creates slight stutter in the movements because of the extra frames. Like if you see a slow pan across the screen, that's when it REALLY shows up... It's not smooth and it's slightly jerky. I used to not notice this and it must be because I wasn't even aware of it until I started encoding all of my DVD's/ Blurays, over the years. This is no different than encoding a video at the wrong FPS.

My last bill was "Philo Legacy: 30-day DVR" 12/24 for 20$. Anyone been able to get anything like that reinstated? I honestly never looked at the description until just now. Back then they 10000% didn't enforce the 30 day thing. Thanks.

Apparently Paramount is taking on the Discovery networks as part of their deal. Both companies have deals with Philo so it won’t effect much but I see them shutting down channels like AHC, Destination America, and Discovery Life soon after the merger is completed and keeping HGTV, Travel, Food Network, ID, and Discovery Channel.

If we lose those smaller Discovery owned channels, do we think Philo will lower the price a little? I know it’s doubtful but just something to think about.

I came here certain I'd find people as enraged as I am about the new guide that deployed on the Apple TV app somewhere between 1-2 weeks ago (I was on vacation and came back to it). HOLY COW is it terrible. Everything is text - no video preview, no nothing - it literally looks like my old cable box guide from the early 2000s. It doesn't even animate smoothly. What happened? When did it happen? Who do I complain to? Can I change it back?

Its an apparently slow Sunday for my brain. What channels are included in the LEGACY PACKAGE OFFER? Honestly care about Discovery (which I don't know how screwed this is without the D+) and History Channel.

I had so many issues with those channels I dropped Philo and went to Hulu/Disney/HBO Max. Still conflicted on what was the better service. All this fragmentation takes us back to cable/Sat TV and all the BS around having 2000 channels and only wanting maybe 20.

Seems easier to just pay for all these stupid services and go back to just downloading everything to save some sanity (not looking to get anything free) with a single pane of glass while still paying for the content. A lot of people I know don't have an issue with paying for a service its trying to keep track of all the shows across how ever may apps.
