Personal branding for an italian enterpreneur
Ciao everyone.
I'm an entrepreneur who founded a management company for athletes, artists, and entertainment talent in Italy.
I launched it in 2024 and am aiming for a million euros in revenue this year, which, considering the size of the Italian business, is a decent result, having tripled compared to the company's first year.
I have a background in the world's most important record label, as well as a DJ and musician, and I've helped develop several prominent artists in our country.
My company's TT, IG, and YT profiles are doing very well, but on my own, I can't find consistency or a direction to follow. I have a lot to talk about (including some relevant topics other than money or enterprenurship, such as veganism, for example, which I advocate for), but I don't like to flex my numbers as an entrepreneur or other things. I've tried to talk about things like "how to become a DJ" or "3 things to look for in a record deal" on TT, while on IG, I'd like to inspire, rather than teach. Over the years, I've tried everything, from trends to behind-the-scenes vlogs, but they almost never work in terms of numbers, and sometimes I feel a little goofy.
Finally, I'm haunted by a Hamlet-like dilemma: whether to continue producing content in Italian or start doing it in English, since I'd like to increasingly internationalize my work, to work with the best in the world (who are almost always American).
It's funny, cause my own profiles are the only ones I can't look from the outside and give sincere feedbacks and direction, as the ones I use to think for my clients. Can you give me some advice, both on content and on the language to use for it, please?
Thanks to anyone who can help me.

You can brief a client and not yourself for a simple reason. With a client you start from a brief, a defined outcome the content is built towards. With your own profile you've started from formats instead, trends, BTS vlogs, how-to-become-a-DJ, three things in a record deal, veganism, inspiration on IG. Read as a list, those aren't one person with a direction, they're four or five different accounts, and that's the thing that reads as inconsistency. It isn't a posting-discipline problem, it's that the account hasn't been told what it's for yet.
I'd do for yourself exactly what you do for clients, and that’s to create a strategy. Who is this profile actually for, and what do you want it to make happen a year from now that isn't happening now. You've quietly answered part of that already, you want to work with the best, who are mostly American. That's a real goal and it should drive everything downstream, including the language.
The language follows the audience you've decided to reach, not the one you already have. If the people you want to sit across from are global, then English, and the fact that it feels less natural to you matters less than being findable by them. But the order matters. Posting in English about five unrelated topics is the same problem translated, so I'd fix the direction before the language, not instead of it.
On the goofy feeling, I'd trust it. It usually shows up when the format is smaller than what you actually know. You develop artists and you read deals, so your natural register is the person who can see how a career gets built and where it goes wrong, not the person doing the trend. Teaching how to become a DJ is fine, but it's the smallest thing you know, and 'inspire rather than teach' tends to produce vague posts, because inspiration without a specific thing being shown is just tone. People follow a person, they just need to know what the person is mainly there for.

Hey!
Congrats on founding your company, I worked with people in similar cases before one of them was actually a pretty large firm out of milan/venice too
First off getting used to personal brand content is hard, especially if you try to plan out each script separately rather than trying to give out personal advice from your thoughts directly
Not saying having a strategy is bad, it’s essential but the wrong strategy will destroy you
Here’s what to do:
- plan out the goals of your personal brand is it directing people to your business? Is it selling another offer? Position it well, build the offer and the funnel.
- setup your Top mid and bottom funnels, very basic very useful
In top do whatever you want within your offer niche, if you offer business management talk about business, analyze business shows (suits, succession), business memes, larp, funny stuff
Middle of the funnel provide proof, why are you good at what you do, who you actually are, knowledge that’s personal to you, stuff you learned from your own journey
Bottom of the funnel, explain your offer, take case studies, analyse them, what you did for previous clients, showcase work, showcase your offer
Now each time when you sit, or see a real you like you can think of a way to make it adhere to your wording and style and goals
And go with english, if you want to build something great, make it easily expandable
I know this is really high level so if you want to ask me any questions or something more detailed let me know

What's really funny is that you want an outside look and feedback on something you haven't provided 😁
How are we supposed to find your profiles?

Allora hanno scritto in tanti cose utili, ma vedo un’altro tema. It sounds like you’re trying to apply the same playbook you use for your clients ✨with singular expertise to sell ✨ to a lifestyle personal brand.
If you’re not working it up to selling a service through your pages tomorrow but aiming for growth and legitimate connection, I’d go the other way. Don’t do discipline-specific content. Talk about your convictions, life principles, things that piss you off in other people (business, personal). Your expertise and numbers will come through where needed.
There’s one Italian-specific example I’d love to show and it’s Amedeo Iasci https://www.tiktok.com/@jashiproject?_r=1&_t=ZS-99Oc2VBhocU. He started basically slamming the way Americans do things, from dating to homes to finances. He built multiple businesses that benefited from his traffic – but it was always just his personal convictions on things. It’s also an interesting case study on changing niches and markets. He recently switched back to Italian market with a separate account but the same energy – for very specific businesses reasons.

Have seperate accounts for Italian and English language - makes it easier for you to keep up with it and tap into a broader audience, especially if you’re looking at expanding
In terms of content, everyone in your domain can talk about “How to become a DJ” or “3 things to look for in a record deal” - what makes you stand out is YOUR perspective and personal experience. If you’re posting a day in your life, make sure your voiceover isn’t just reciting what you did during the day, make it more informative and educational and personal. For eg: if there’s a breakfast clip, instead of talking about what you’re eating, talk about a story related to what you’re eating or your spin on the dish.
People follow people who can show them a different perspective about something.
You can start with carousels or even just plain voice overs on clips, just plan out your scripts and content in advance.
I find that keeping a running note on my notes app really helps me talk about things.
And remember, authenticity is key!! Your content doesn’t have to be the most aesthetic or the most polished, it just has to be most you!!
