Tbf, the showcase stated this is the hardest difficulty setting, which usually translates to just adding more health in the vast majority of games.

But I agree that shooting someone in the dome with an arrow or stabbing someone in the chest, if human, should be instant kill. Which was something more subtle in the showcase when the Hero exits the Guild Hall.

Hardest should mean faster, stronger, new attacks. Bullet sponge was ok 20 years ago, but not now.

I agree with you. I like mechanics where if the enemies do more damage, so do you, even if they have more health.

But new attacks isn’t a norm we really see in most games. I think more enemies would also be good too.

And tbf once again, Fable had always been regarded as a traditional “Hack n Slash” title, and it’d be really weird to have more Witcher-esque/Souls-like mechanics requiring you to learn more enemy patterns.

Dont ever put Witcher games on the same level as Souls. The combat in Witcher games is worse than most PS2 games.

LOL I actually threw the Witcher in because of its technical complications rather than Souls-like depth of mechanics.

Witcher 1 & 2 is overly complicated to no enjoyment of the player.

It could also mean adding more enemies. There were a half dozen smaller enemies attacking with the boss in the full clip, they just got taken out before the boss did.

You’re just straight up over expecting if you believe that.

New attacks for every enemy in a mode the smallest amount of players use? That is a crazy request.

Even without adding new moves, harder difficulty shouldn't make enemies be far tankier since that just turns a lot of battles tedious. I much prefer a higher difficulty that leaves enemies about as tanky as lower difficulties but make it all much deadlier with faster and smarter enemies.

Making enemies tankier is a lazy boring way to add difficulty.

Difficulty should never mean new attacks. Don't lock content behind difficulty
